Merry revellers
cast one glance on me
before your mind wavers
throw me one penny

My eyes are deep in socket
but ears are sharply keen
catch jingles in your pocket
silver's pompous din

Pray not be too aloof
need a lil of your pity
a penny can't buy a roof
can buy a crumb for belly

It wouldn't hurt you much
for one less from too many
merry revellers before you rush
toss my way one penny.

People fight, nations fight
What a scary sight!
Blood, tears, and scare
Now, really do we care?

Heart and mind ceases
The differences between me n you
Death ultimately seizes
Religions pay its due.

Everyone fights amongst themselves
Everyone fights within..
Praying for a God, person, who saves
But,for being a better person are we really keen?

Let's see ourselves, let's mind ourselves
Let's not hurt anyone, let's not judge
May be,humanity it will save
May be,we dwell in better place.

when I'm looking at you
and you're looking back at me
I wonder how
the gods were
able to shrink a thousand
stars
into those eyes and
I wonder how
an entire galaxy
can spread throughout
the palms of your hands

how I wish you were just the
sands in the ocean
within my reach, easy
to grasp
or the trees in the mountains
where I could wrap my
arms around

but there you are
yes, beautiful and
shining bright
but from where I stand
too far away
to hold

too far
away
I am a child of the earth and sea
brown eyes like the soil that feeds the land
flecks of gold so craved by greedy man
and ocean dancing under my skin
where blood is the fire that sustains me
I will not burn away with it
I, a phoenix, a forbidden pearl
my legacy is that which I tread
leaving footprints in the dust
and craters in the sky
shouting to the earth mother
I am a crucible of life
while she whispers in the wind
soft, like spring morning,
but stern, such as autumn's crisp breeze
yes, dear one, and I am life itself

I will not surrender myself to man,
to humanity's cruel gaze
know yourself and love yourself
you are the light in the dark, and the dark
that eventually claims all
you are made of stars and the earth's clay

You have never been merely ordinary
