The works that are spoken,
and meant to fix the broken,
are launched into a crowd.

Words upon heart,
but I’m drifting apart,
from an auditorium chair.

They say every verse that is read
goes in and out my head,
and I feel a dearth of knowledge.

But found by the trees,
are my words of ease,
spoken straight from His mouth.

A blue sky set before me,
the meadow of perfect grass,
I sit and wallow in a sweet wisdom.

how much longer until my future?
I know I'm living in it,
but when does it get better?
I thought that the present meant now,
but I think we're mistaken
because all I can picture is what is still waiting.

I am hollow and afraid
I wonder - do they see my pain?
I hear echoes of the rain
      the downpour inside my brain
I see the drops falling down
I want to stop them, but
I am hollow and afraid

I pretend I am fine, but
I feel very far from fine
I run my fingers through my hair
I fear judgement, everywhere
I cry inside, but only there, for
I am hollow and afraid

I know they say "life is a wonder"
I say life is a four-letter word
I dream of death, desolation, disaster
I just want it all to end, because
I am so hollow and so afraid
This is not my poem,
I know this girl named Jill and she is cute, she is awesome
and she understands, but she had to write a poem for school.
If there is one thing that I do not like about schools is they
force you to write, she clearly poured her soul out in this one.
I love it! It is scary good! What do you think?

Is
Glass;

The watch
On my wrist
Is ticking
Slowly

Counting down
The seconds
Of silence
Between us

We need the tonic of wilderness
the land and sea. Indefinitely wild.
Unsurveyed and unfathomed.
A taste of beautiful cultivated outdoors

I wanted to live deep
and **** the marrow out of life
but we loiter in the winter
while it is already spring

The surface of the Earth
soft and impressable
carving deep
ruts of tradition and conformity

I’d rather go before the mast
on deck of the world.
Mysterious and explorable
amid the moonlight and mountains.

Stop fogging up my lenses
and stealing all my first impressions

you have lost all validity
and stolen all tranquility

let me see people
without your veil of lies

don't worry,
I can come to my own conclusions
