Intangibly, it cometh and goeth.
Substanceless it slips in transition from one immeasurable instant to the next. Equitable to infinite space, in terms of distance, infinite time is a concept quite alien to the finite human mind. There is no proof of existence, it is a human conception with no sensory component, an illusion and utterly immeasurable in real terms with only a human contrivance to calibrate it....(and poorly at that).
Time is the silken zephyr on which we lay our dreams and aspirations. It is the currency of deep religion and is regarded as the ultimate sword hand of God. Incorruptible and absolute it brooks no favour, seeks no fame. Irreversible in it's cold implacable, unquenchability it merely, unfeelingly.... proceeds.

Tomorrow the baseball Hall of Fame will announce the newest members selected to join her hallowed hall.  Ken Griffey Jr.  will surely be selected.

I wish Hello Poetry had a Hall Of Fame. There are so many poets and good friends worthy of.

In absence of, I wish to nominate the following poets for the first class when and if it is ever created. My criteria for selection to this Hello Poetry Hall of Fame are:

                    A feeling heart
                    loves  poetry
                    is a friend to others in the community

A Triple Crown.

Time and space are the only reason I have not listed all poets here at Hello Poetry:

..... and to those I failed to mention I apologize. I am thinking of you, also, but time and space are the only limitations to my list of nominees.
Forgive me if your name is not listed. In no way am I suggesting HP create a hall of fame, because it already has one, and every poet who met my criteria above is already a member.
My wonderful friend
You blend words like a wizard
Evoke imagery out of syllables and rhyme
Leave us breathless at your unique insight
and jealous of your zeal for being a wordsmith.
Were I able to, my wonderful friend I would knight thee
for services to the beauty of words.

A protest song inspired by sjr1000

Frig & Frack dance a dance
To see who is astute
They run an oil rag up a pole
To see who will salute

Nobody seems to see it
They just watch TV
Corporate's just overjoyed!
They can dance for *FREE!

They just quash the media
Build gas-guzzling trucks
People purchase in their millions
So Frig & Frack make BUCKS!

Nobody seems to wonder
Why water tastes so funny
Why their kids have cancer
Why... Big Oil's makin' MONEY!

Yeah... nobody seems to care a fig
Most people aren't that hyper
Now Corporate can laugh and jig...

...and we all Pay the Piper!

Please read sjr1000's poem
"Friggin' Fracking"
It's just scathing.
We need more protest & awareness of this!
The media ain't gonna tell folks...
That's what poets & songwriters are FOR!

for Sjr1000
and his proffered invitation

~~~
delve and dive,
smack lip tasting each line we drop over the side,
as if it each worm is a new word
first time heard
or ever  écrit
explicate and parse
the shape, the portent,
looking for the double mystery,
the wisdom and the plaisir of two minds cojoining
our poems, indeed,
every one a  product of a stainless steal shiny can of worms,
so strikes me when,
that fishing trip day est arrivée
the worms will be of the glo variety,
whom when pole dipped,
will be like chocolate treats for catching poetry fish,
to rapture capture new reciprocity recipes
share and delight,
comparing size,
whose is most luminescent, tumescent,
whose poems will taste most délicieuse
men fishin n' writing male bonding, stainless steel strong, a men friendly completion competition,
you bring the worms in a cancan,
I'll bring the cannes à pêche^
they'll accuse of being heinous poets turned into
collaborateurs,
to which we'll laugh responding in unison,
for sure, bien sûr!
This really got me thinking, a couple of immediate responses. On the prospect of reviewing, the image that comes to mind is standing in the bathroom, when you can line up the mirrors, one in front and one behind, until our reflection finds infinity.
On our attempts, though written about fishing, by applies to our poetry as well: The joy of fishing is
the pursuit of the elusive but attainable, a series of occasions for hope.
Your volume, thick or thin awaits, stories told by a knowing soul.
Go for the gold, Nat. It'll make all the neuroses worth it.
This poem which was created by several poets, while abstract , a bit meandering, as any collaboration might become, has behind it a meaning.
My effort, my intent, was not to create a poem that bested Shakespeare, no. I with all my heart wanted to show that HP is for all of us. HP is for us to make a difference, if possible. It is possible.
Put away the transgressions the petty bickering, all.
We may have lost this battle, but we shall win the war.
Now, the poem:
Once Upon I, the warrior skeletal
the eternal darkness
descended
with cracked laughter echoing
serendipity exploding
and unfolding  erase(s)
the expanse of nightfall,
those connected before
redemption,
rustic austerity
peace
for she
dreaming forlorn
liberated
by the sword
sine qua non
In order of contribution I would like to thank :
and to the betterment of our community.
Home  is a powerful concept...if you can find that in the heart of others . A place that is safe, a place that too often bright and welcoming without judgement, a place to be understood, a place that celebrates you and looks for you, a place where the sunsets are always beautiful, a place that lights up upon your presence ...if you can find that where ever it may be ...Do not let go.  Home is truly a magical  place where we love one another . my grievous faults
————————-
~for SJR1000~
the sun is out after a week of island fog,
(different from regular citified fogginess)
days seasoned with rapacious, hard hitting
all-night-long-rains, steady winds of
fifteen miles per hour, made “outside”unattractive,
yet, even now, sun inside with me, writing you
listening to Tupelo Honey, sets me awondering,
have you figured out how people work,
uncovered the source of human misery,
so we can get that vaccine asap, for something
a 1000 times more deadly than coronavirus?
my grievous faults, many, well catalogued,
but one of the chiefest is a side effect of a
virulent ego that cuts off vision, thoughtfulness,
letting good people slip away, and when called out,
I’m aggrieved, my faults, they wicked, embarrassing
so I’m asking, you, myself, anybody else, eavesdropping,
if this is true, for me, for you, you got the experience, if
”It don't make no difference
Escaping one last time
It's easier to believe in this sweet madness
Oh, this glorious sadness
That brings me to my knees”
^
write me, enlighten me, and if the answers are
still a fugitive escaping, no matter, just way it is,
no pressure other than the sixteen tons of mining
life’s coal dust vicissitudes, its mysterious way of tilting
the scales, then escaping, side venting, through poetry
