Naked and fierce,
Burning with anger,
Stands the Goddess,
Great is her hunger.

Machete in her hands,
Slashing at her will,
She knows no bounds,
And runs around to ****.

She can't recognise,
Sinner or saint,
In her mission to **** the evils,
She has lost her restraint.

And then she steps on something,
What is it? She looks below,
To her horror she finds her Lord,
Supine, lying beneath her toe.

Great is her shame at what she sees,
In her great fury she had spared none,
It needed Lord Shiva to stop her rage,
She bites her tongue at what she has done.

And thus we know the great Maa Kali,
Ashamed, repentant for being blindly furious
She stands for the two sides in ourselves,
With the good trying to rule the evil in us.

So every year we worship her,
Each year we pay her our homages,
And this is how "Kali Puja",
Goes on and on for ages.
Today Is " Kali Pujaa " aka " Shyama Puja "
This Exactly Coincides With 'CHOTI DIWAALI'

Khubsurat sa desh tha pehle hamara,
Khub tareef karta tha yeh zamana,
Baat thi kuch uss desh meh nirali,
Kyuki Charo aur thi bas hariyali,
Badal chuki hai mere desh ki laali,
Tut chuki hai bhaichare ki daali,
Apne de rahe hai ek doosre ko gaali,
Aaj koi saath nahi manata holi ya diwali,
Kaha gayi mere desh ki voh hariyali,
Bandha hua hai desh dhaago se kaali,
Kaat dena hai voh dhage hume saari,
Banate hai desh ko jaise ek madhur kawaali,
Vapas aayegi mere desh meh voh laali,
Tareef karegi hamare desh ki duniya saari,
Saath milkar raho mere desh vaasi,

Tu bhi kahin ehsaas to karta hi hoga ,
Chup chuo k meri chahat pe guroor to karta hoga,
Beet jaane k baad agar mere tu lautkar aaya,
To yaad rajhna kahin kho dene ka sadma tujhme na ubar aaye,
Nahi chahta mai k tere dil me gam e bahar aaye,
Khamosh hokar yun intjaar karna nahi acha,
Ab to bole do kahin chahne vala tera hamesha k liye khamosh na ** jaaye,
Betaabi badhti ja rhi hai yujhe paane ki,

Najaane kya bayaan krna chahti h..
Shayad aane waali koi aandhi h, Jo Hume barbaad krna chahti h!!
Najjane kya Sandesh lekar aai...
Shayad nhi samjh paa rhe hum iski gehraai!!
Kuch andherapan sa chaa rha h...
Jo Hume shayad pal pal maar rha hai!!
Kuch to ajeeb baat hai...
Shayad aane waali ek kaali Raat h!!
Shayad koi apna hi hai iske piche..
Jo dhakel rha Hume sabse niche!!
Shayad qismat mein hai yahi Likha ...
Ki Hain hum uski life ka ek maamuli sa sikka!!
Jo shayad koi keemat nhi rakhta h...
Lekin vo shayad nhi jaanta ki ye sikka Uske liye Jaan Dene ki Bhi himaat rakhta h!!!!!

Aftaab kay dhalnay kay baad
Chaand ki roshni kay jadoo may
Sitaron ki chadar kay nichay
Tumhari kaali zulfo kay talay
Meray khwabo ki jannat hai
Ek arsa ** gaya woha gayay huay
Kabhi ek martaba ayo toh mera pass
(Urdu and Hindi)

English Translation

After the setting of the sun
In the magic of the moonlight
Under the blanket of stars
Underneath your black hair
Lies my paradise of dreams
It's been ages since I've been there
Just come to me once
My soul will feel a strange sense of comfort and relief
And the home of my heart will flourish with joy

CRY OF THE WOMB

Behind his earlobe was my tongue tip.
The tickling made him turn my side.
He embraced me and kissed on my lip.
Gleamed the golden ‘thaali’ around my neck.
Man and wife, we were then
Love flooded like Ganga in Shiva’s curls.
Then, I didn’t know why I used to see
A stranger in my bed, in nightmares.
Woke up at night and respired in consolation.
No, it’s him; I went back to bed caressing his temple.
There were five more days for Valentine’s.
I had the world’s best gift for him.
That night, he threw me into dark.
I craved to clasp him tight.
He was like ‘Kaali’ in Her ferocity.
I was like a lamp ready to be relinquished.
The woods around heard a cry…
The cry of a new born, it wasn’t me.
The cry of my womb barren.
The cry of his baby yearning to be born.
