"basely" poems
I was a grovelling creature once, And basely cleaved to earth: I wanted spirit to renounce The clod that gave me birth. But God hath breathed upon a worm, And sent me from above Wings such as clothe an angel's form, The wings of joy and love. With these to Pisgah's top I fly And there delighted stand, To view, beneath a shining sky, The spacious promised land. The Lord of all the vast domain Has promised it to me, The length and breadth of all the plain As far as faith can see. How glorious is my privilege! To Thee for help I call; I stand upon a mountain's edge, O save me, lest I fall! Though much exalted in the Lord, My strength is not my own; Then let me tremble at His word, And none shall cast me down.

Lively Hope and Gracious Fear
Were you ever in love with someone not Listed as an approved relationship By roaming mobs of false analogies In either-or assumptions basely masked? Friendship and love are regulated now Not by a written fiat of the state But by the decibels of imbeciles The bellowed mandate of the club and fist The law of love is now the law of bans - They’ve politicized even the touching of hands

The Slaughter of the Holy Innocents and of Holy Innocence
Graveyards Graveyards, scary at night, scary at day, Takes your breath away. a dark and gloomy place, where people hold their breath, if they don't the dead creep up on them, and they're gone scary at night, scary at day, takes your breath away. to visit friends and family, plant flowers and basely Leafs, for they give them good Luck. scary at night, scary at day, takes your breath away. to say hello, or bid farewell, To say good morning, or goodnight. the dead, yes there scary and hidden, but they have untold stories, and legacies, For they're the forgotten of many. a dark and gloomy place, bid your farewells, watch out you could be next, as the graveyard Whispers in the wind, you leave, Graveyards.

graveyards
High atop shining mountains, Where Gods glint as they spy On wanting mortals, cast in heat And toil, in heavens that are always Basked by sun and days of grape, That flow from the endless pour Of golden casks, give mirth to always Blue veins as they revel in mighty Perfection and beauty, enameled With imperishable face and statuary Form, who thunder above feathery Cloud, rumbling beyond all earthly Ken and dream— in these heavens, Is there myth only of desire? Or do they yearn in cradle sleep, As all those landed babes in need Of mercies and fable, do gods shape Subtle creations with the music of love, Of blood in a touch, of dawn and hope In the flowering of family and learning? Can the gleaming child ever know needs As they are met, held by eyes and lip, The windy caress of kiss and nod And rarest time as it wanes? On radiant, fabled Olympus, where Eagles, golden in the sun, only rake The rims of Elysium as they song glide So effortlessly, unlike the perilous, shy, Wandering tribes basely set so far below, The sun clad Titans home eternal, who always Are held, perpetual in ever engulf of skies, rest Starry, in their sparkling, immortal cloaks Of milky cosmos and ambrosial aethers. Above the murmuring clamours Of the under strays and dogs of plain And sea, do chose children of light ever Quake or shudder in awe, never moved, Or are they but weilders of storm and fierce Lightning strikes, burnishing in judgement flame, Never to be struck by leaves that come in fires of autumn, Such monumental peace in a seasons turn, the simple joinings, Of lovers, by a hearth, by a road, by rush of mountain streams? In high heavens do even the Gods not dream Of deep, down, sole earthly pleasures?

My title is “POTUS” and America’s great. My pardoning power can change people’s fate. I commuted the sentence of a granny in jail Who’d been locked up for years for a busted drug sale. I Pardoned Jack Johnson long after he’d died, for his crime of having a white girl on the side. Dinesh D’Souza was an interesting case; He defied crooked Hillary -who put him in his place. His “Get out of Jail” card I granted with glee. Perhaps his next movie will be about me. I pardoned a sailor who’d fallen from grace; He worked in a Sub and took films of the place. I forgave Joe Arpaio and relieved his distress at having a jail cell as his forward  address. It’s True Scooter Libby was technically free; His sentence commuted by my peer “43”. Now Scooter’s pardoned; absolved of his crime. It was worth it to hear liberal Democrats whine. It’s been said that with Russians I basely connived to secure my election to become “45”. If Mueller should dig up some dirt on my “crime” I’ll just pardon myself and thank him for his time.
