Lunar
from rain,
should i turn into a storm?
howling like the wind,
making noise,
to get you to hear me?
more raindrops; more tears,
to make you feel
drenched in remorse?
harsher and faster,
much like a hurricane,
to get you to see
how messed up i am?
when i'm stronger
like the storm,
would you love me more?
The second part of 'love the rain—love me'.

I miss you
sometimes
just enough
so that it hurts.

When I feel like
I'm living in limbo,
one half step away
from falling apart,
I think of you
as a panacea
for all of the quiet thoughts
and dead stares.

When I find myself
painting canvases black
at three in the morning
and pressing my nails
into my wrists
just to feel
something,
I wish you were here
to coax me into bed
and kiss me
like you never did.

I miss you,
selfishly and
shamelessly.

And it twists
and slides through
my fingers like paint-
beautiful useless emotion.

At the other side of the cove I'm breathing
The same air that brushes your skin
Basking in
The same light that kisses your cheeks
Waiting
The same way I've waited for years
Words can't be touched,
But they can break a heart.
A word can comfort or distort.
Sweet talk isn't the best language but if you have to choose it over breaking someone, choose it.
The words we speak can inspire, shape or put one in despair.
All ears deserve to hear a nice word about them.
Everyone has the power of words in them.
Let's think before we can speak.
Speak life!
A poets sword is his or her word*.

As iron sharpens iron,
so one person sharpens another.

Let me be the angel
That guides you into joy.
Let the pulsing of my heart
Be your only noise.

Let me be the harpist
That strums away your pain.
Let me be the poet
That bleeds stanzas in your name.

Let my hands be your only
Escape into release.
Let this love of mine
Bring you inner peace.

And if you are to weep,
Let me wipe away your tears.
And if you ever cower,
Let me eliminate your fears.
