I fall asleep
to the sound of my own voice
murmuring twisted thoughts
into the spaces
in my brain

The orchid is flowering
Opening,
a living mandala
Next to my bed
I hear it in my dreams
It's telling me very strange things
About the chemistry between us
And what being a flower really is
And what it really means.

There's a lot to learn.

The orchid whispers in chemical symbols

I danced through the night one night
I drank water in the desert
The sweetest taste, I've ever known
I heard a sound I've never heard before
The buzzing of Chi
Blowing in
while the curtains fluttered
In the night time wind.

Our time I know is limited
Forever wilts away

But while the orchid is flowering
That's for another day

I find myself longing for the scent of the night and at least
One more dream to go.
This came as a total surprise, 100%! Never expected. We all channel our internal poet, a conduit from within, dictated somehow. My experience at Hellopoetry has been life changing  and the community we are all apart of is truly a sacred circle, for that and this moment in time, I am grateful.
The poet, well, he's sleeping now, but I will pass it on when he awakens. Many thanks, to one and all, you continue to teach me what it means to be human and an artist in this world.

He speaks the language of flowers
Quietly toiling in his garden
Digging, raking and smoothing soil,
Gently coaxing nature to match his vision.
He knows the bees, spiders, beetles, worms and earwigs
Regarding them as friends.
He follows seasons, moon and stars
As others do people
Enthralled at the changes they bring.
He listens as the birds sing
Watching with joy as
Fledgling take wing.

Poetic T
Dilapidated tears evaporated,
         where days descended
one by one like dead leaves
                    falling day by day.

A celebration of agonizing
     desolation where this aging
of youth was culpable to silence.
Candles engraved with fleeting dejection.

With every breath,
          years were extinguished.
beyond the grasp if youthful
                               understanding.

But we gather our days and realise
     that even though were vacant
of smiles now, there will be a time
of  celebration, where your surrounded
                                 with faithful friendships.

Is it too late
To run back into your arms
The sun hasn't dipped deep enough
The birds are still singing their love songs
Can I play with your hair
You can run your fingers along my neck
It isn't summer yet
But the cool breeze feels so refreshing
As it blows across our tousled hair
Will you whisper sweet nothings in my ears
I promise I won't shake if it tickles
But don't you pause
Let your breath caress every inch of my skin
Lets dance beneath the evergreen trees
The night is still young
And the sky is still blushing
Lace your fingers around mine
Lets see the flowers bloom again
And pluck away the weeds of melancholy
Is it too late
To gather the remnants of our love
Pile them up neatly
Smile once again together
At its abundance
Meant for you and me

Stay

It was September when I came undone
Called my mama and told her I found the one
And then January came
My life became
Centred on yours
Moth to flame
But the flame burned bigger and I burnt raw
And then one day
"I can't be with you anymore"
But how can I abandon you when you're a part of my being
A kidney, a heart, a wound un-healing
And you say you're a fighter, so where's your fight?
There in the morning and gone by night.
And my heart asks me how to forget you
Your laugh and your smile and your cowardice too
But the thing about night is that it always turns to day
The thing about wounds is that they always fade
The thing about pain is that we don’t remember it when it goes away
The thing about you?
Well when you're gone, then gone you'll stay.
