If you can't love me enough to let him go love me enough to let me go.
Wrecked in the stormy ocean of a love lost you were
the anchor that kept me from washing further off course
in that depth of dark despair you were a North Star in my sky
you understood my pain even if you arrived when my eyes were dry
for in the loud silence of depression you heard my cry
and made me feel special when I was all wound and scar...
it was the end of the road for me but then you came along
that's why I'd gladly be convicted if loving you is wrong.
I start each day craving the night
and every dusk clutching to the light...

life is like a heart beat
it has its ups and downs
our highs and lows
it levels out just as we do
that's how you know you're alive
She stands where sea and sorrow meet,
Barefoot on windswept, splintered boards,
Her father’s cap held soft and sweet,
A lifeline in her silent cords.

Each evening’s glow, a dying flame,
That once would kindle storms of hope—
Now waning embers whisper his name
Across the vast, unending scope.

Her ribbons fray with every tide,
Blue for sky, and yellow for dreams,
Red for the grief she cannot hide,
All drifting off in moonlit streams.

She breathes the salt, its stinging truth,
That love can leave without goodbye;
Her childhood bleeds into lost youth,
As gulls wheel tears across the sky.

When dawn arrives, the cap remains
A hollow crown of memory.
And she, with hollowed, aching veins,
Walks home alone, adrift at sea.
Final goodbye

Kingdoms fall and empires fade,
Once great but now the world forsakes.
Look instead on those unseen,
For earthly things will lose their sheen.

Hate is what drives us,
to spite and despise.
But the love of God
is what changes our hearts.
