I often stand outside your dreams,
waiting to be let in

I could assume that you're o.k.
or just re-tune the things I say
talk you through the years of pain
or show you that we're all the same
I could harangue you 'til I'm blue
but either way I'm here for you.

In our own space
we are everything
to the rest of the universe
we are nothing
null.

sometimes i think
of the million lives
i could have led

before the heat, lust
and sweet nectar
came shimmering
out of my head

i swam through caves
of black salt and ether
i explored dreaming valleys
and cavernous skies

i melted with the prophets
ruled with the pharaohs
drifted with the angels
all in a lavender-lust fever
