We poets were a sensitive lot
in a world that shat on us
although we fought.
We are who we are, and the world is...

Public places
now empty spaces
free of all familiar faces

But there is an upside
a turn of the tide
away from environmental suicide

Shifting towards clean
Mother Earth more serene
thriving more than I’ve ever seen
Inspired on a walk during the corona crisis
The warm sun on your face
                                         And a big blue sky

The smell of freshly baked bread
                                         Just floating by

A glass of wine on the table
                                        With a dear old friend

A day of peace and love
                                    Never wanting it to end
She held my hand
and dried my sweating brow
"I never asked her"

She comforted me when I was alone
and fed me when I was hungry
"I never asked her"

She washed me when I was unclean
and covered me in warm sheets
"I never asked her"

She blew me a kiss when she left
and said I'll see you tomorrow
"I never thanked her"
Nurses, all in a days work.
The pain has gone, the deed is done
The father embraces his only son

“Please rest now your works complete”
As he washes the blood off his weary feet

When you awake, take your seat, next to me
Watch the little children, they will come unto thee
The boulder already rolled, they look inside
Empty deathbed, a resurrection? Nowhere to hide

A blooded shroud, the ultimate price
Destined to be a relic of Christ

We follow his foot prints, until he was within our reach
He challenged us all to go forth and preach

Peace and love throughout the land
Rejoice in the lord, join together, hand in hand
He’s lived and loved, for 99.9 years
Listen to his story, don’t hold back the tears

Daughter’s love, for a now dear old man
“I will help the NHS, as old as I am"

Please remember his name, from this day on
And speak with pride, of our Captain Tom
5 Million and still counting, all for the NHSxxx

When I think of you
My heart rate increases
When I'm away from you
My mind is in peaces
Feels like I'm on the edge
About to jump off the deep end
One weekday
And one more weekend
Till we're together
And the world is set right
And i can see your smile
As you shine bright
While you warm my heart
With a radiant light
And I can hold you in my arms
Through the cold night

The end is nigh
I see it coming
Though there is no escape
Some people are running
The others repent
And feed the starving
But its too late now
The cycle is ending
After this cycle
A new beginning
But for now, the end is nigh.
I have seen it coming

Oh man what a day
Why'd life have to be so grey?
As i lay defeated in bed
All i think of is being dead...
I go to sleep,
And i see some water
I take a leap
Into the endless river

Am I floating up?
Or is the sky falling?
I can't tell but the dead
And the living are calling
On one side is my father
Arms open and rejoicing
On the other is my mother
Heartbroken and mourning

I am torn and my heart breaks
I begin to fall as everything shakes
As I fall fast
My bed approaches
Filled with comfort
As darkness encroaches
