There is only
one you in
every
lifetime.
Multiple meanings
We were young when we were friends.
Always used to play pretend.
I was a cop. He was a crook.
Never did things by the book.

Bang bang, he shot me down.
Bang bang, I hit the ground.
Bang bang, that awful sound.
Bang bang, my buddy shot me down.

It was us against the crowd, But time passed, parted us like clouds.
I fit in. He wasn't allowed.
He looked for help, I didn't make a sound.

Bang bang, I shot him down.
Bang bang, He hit the ground.
Bang bang, That awful sound.
Bang bang , I shot my buddy down.

Festering wounds don't heal quick.
I heard something that made me sick.
Screams echoing through the corridor.
He loaded up, kicked down the door.
I don't thing we're friends anymore.

Bang bang, he shot me down.

Too many shattered Mirrors
Mirroring my sins.

Too many walls
Hindering my wings.

My growth remains
  still
as silence Kills.

How do you love the
Unloved?
I was never a writer
I was just some poet
Who seek some
understanding in my
understatement @pax

at times I feel so tired...
thanks to those who still read me..
Have you ever felt love?
For it is above
But also below
For it will sweep you off your feet
And devour you in its sorrow
It is not something you can borrow
Once taken never given back
Have you ever felt love?
For it is above
But not below
I have felt love
It destroyed my life
Losing love feels like a knife
Through the heart
- Kayla Lynn
If I did anything right in my life
It was when I gave my hart to you

This is for the love of my life.
You make me laugh when I want to cry,
Make me live when I want to die,
Make me smile when I want to frown,
You turn my life upside down.
Believe in me when no one else does,
You're my now, my is, my was.
When you call my name I begin to blush,
I'm afraid people notice I need you so much.
It's like the present is the past.
I need you more than you can believe,
Love you more than you can conceive.
Think about you every night and day
And hope my life can stay this way
I don't want it to be any other way.
- Kayla Lynn
Why do we love?
If life will make us part...
Why do our feelings grow?
If days will change them all
Why does our heart beat with warm passion?
If distance between us blows it off
Why do you tell me you love me so much?
When you can't care for me enough
Why do I respond to your touch?
When I can't erase from my heart this fear
Why cant I stop these painful tears?
Why can't I be cruel to you when you're so near...
Why do you promise?
When you can;t make dreams come true
Why do I still smile to you?
Even with the endless pain I go through
I wonder why...
Why it all had to die...
- Kayla Lynn
I drive, during daylight, through the city.
It's a different side I never get to see.
I'm looking to satiate my hunger;
A hunger older than time.
A hunger that leads men to create gods, governments, science and traffic law.
The endeavor is foolish,
Restaurants and bars brimming with people looking for substance,
They're looking too.
And the flea-ridden dog with the lame leg, he's looking too.
The woman at the bus stop with all her belongings in a trash bag, applying makeup,
She's a looking too.
The man wearing a baseball cap and glasses in his convertible Porsche,
He's looking too.
The earth hasn't gotten any bigger, yet there's enough to keep teams of scientists- different fields too- occupied for years.
And I'm driving though the city
Looking for something to do.
