we wait in apprehension
victims consternation
of a futuristic image
where love is lost
in the darkness
because the sun no longer shines
down upon the sinners
who fail to shoot the moon
and so we shoot our brothers
without consideration
a evil sense of admiration
we fall
into a world
a beautiful disease
where peace is the cure
that truly can not be found
Sleeping dogs are kicked
just to hear them bark
we stare at the sun
and stay in the dark

the dead men tell tales
and we make our horses drink
a rolling stone gathers moss
and **** doesn't stink

we are better sorry than safe
the sword is mightier than the pen
practice never makes perfect
it's all just pretend

two wrongs make a right
never is better than late
we don't see our own sight
we are what we hate

we look gift horses in the mouth
while birds of a feather peck each others eyes out
Were it for any other reason, but for Love.
Were it for any other season to endure,
And every star hung in Heaven's grace above, would cast themselves down, as sacrifice forevermore.
To be honest, if you asked me now if I still love you, I would say “Of course”
‘cause, in the end, I still do, even if it makes me worse
I can lie to myself but I’d still cry for you
Every now and then I think of you and I hope you think of me too

You know, you could hurt me a lot but, in the end, I’d still love you
Don’t ask me why ‘cause I don’t know, I have no clue
Maybe I just don’t want my feelings to turn out to be lie
Or maybe I like the idea of love and I don’t want it to die
Or maybe you’re just... I don’t know
I just can’t seem to let you go
Oh **** it, why did we have to meet?
Why didn’t you just ignore me instead of acting so sweet

I don’t know what I want, to forget you or not
‘cause that love is all I’ve got

You don’t ******* know how much you cause me pain
And when I think I’m never gonna have you, it feels like my life’s goin’ in vain
You know what that means, Chris?
It means that Death could be my only bliss
And though I might deny it, I’ll love you, Chris, forever
The idea of the one you used to be, however

First comes winter. The hardest to survive.
Cold and barren; the frost eats you alive.
Branches of hope bare; leaves of love decayed,
Around your heart and soul, you’ve built a barricade.

Next is the spring; winter gone at last.
The time for new life, no longer bound to your past.
Resilience gave you another chance;
You refuse to look back now, not even a glance.

Now the summer, best season of all.
You think you've moved on, standing proud and tall.
Growing and blossoming towards the sky,
Barely remembering the last goodbye.

Darker nights now autumn is here,
Doubts create fog this time of year.
Leaves of joy and fulfilment are furling and falling,
Memories of lost love you just keep recalling.

Then winter strikes again, but not quite as strong,
You wonder why you still haven’t moved on.
Reliving every mistake and regret,
The frost bites your skin. It won’t let you forget.

The seasons repeat until you become winterless,
Your bark has healed, you are finally splinterless,
Life now a lattice of long summer, carefree spring,
But occasionally the autumn may sometimes creep in.
Or so that is what I hear,
But I still have winter as part of my year.
