Love is a lot of things:

A feeling.
A passion.
A choice.
A revolution.
A voice.
A creation.
A language.
An action.
A sacrifice.
An interaction.
A crime.
An abstraction.
A blessing.
An affirmation.
A life.

And, it's just one word.
Imagine what we could do with a thousand more.

Layered.  Say you didn't know these were complex.

Blue skies peer thinly twixt the whiter tale
Of clouds whose stringy webs mask what, from hence?
The warming golden light half bleak, a sense
I maunt put down stalks through all that'd avail.
Ne shadows nor a flirting breath t'exhale
By even halves and I am jumpy, whence
What daffodils might nod can own intents
While folk tell April Fools jokes like we've bail.
Did I complain oer...jonquils' yellow tour
Of frilly heads and purple hy'cinth too?
Yes.  I said even ******* laundry's...poor,
Sith Mum is buried.  Taen from me now, who
Shall pity?  Sparrows e'en too distant fer
Aught smiles, I wonder if a man'd now woo.

It never ends It never changes
But we do
The clouds And the moon
Reflections
So Bright But so needy
Just Like us

Above it all For once in my life
but nervous
not Like a Fish in the ocean
Floating
Deep But always so alone
just like Me

Nothing can be done Nothing at all
But wait
a mirror extended End to end
Silent
But So true So hurtful So real
Just like you

It's still poetry
no matter how you deliver your message
if you can put your thoughts into a verse
then go ahead and put out your lyrical burst

It's still poetry
whether you freestyle or write spoken word
or limerick or acrostic, haiku or Shakespearean, your voice should be heard

It's still poetry
writing about experience or just testing your rhyming ability it's all fair game
just because one style doesn't speak to you doesn't make it all lame
