I’ve discovered a graciousness to life
That breathes in your pocket when we hold hands
Together in there when it’s cold outside,
Gentle fingers spooning because they can.
It has soft eyes and comes out when you laugh
At me when I’m in the passenger seat,
Repeating old jokes to my better half,
Surprised by how you still put up with me.
That secret seeps from your fair baby hairs
Onto pretty eyelashes that I watch
When I look up at you from your shoulder
To kiss your cheek with all the love I’ve got.
Love that is kind and happy without strife:
The unexpected graciousness of life.
its amazing what we’re capable of when pressed;
and shaman healing
and fortunes of gold
and broken borders
and treaties of peace
all those wild and lofty regressions from the mean;
(from deadly deeds)
scores and scriptures
liberty and peace
(in the jaws of defeat)
and sometimes, it’s just a little fodder;
pyramids and viaducts
aqua-lines and chunnels
and deep dives
base jumps near the high wire
gardens and divine art
and even water boards
(for beauty is in the eye of the beholder!)
have a look around
and let gratitude be your guide
Just some words of gratitude,
Or few actions of graciousness,
Followed by the ****** of love,
Deem you as a person thankless.
Yes she assassinated my feeling,
A dove of love just got sadness.
From an ungrateful person...
