Ophelia
I
I've loved your eyes
Like a sailor loves the sea--
Wholly, without regard for safety

II
I've loved your smile
Like an infant loves her mother--
Effortlessly, without end

III
I've loved your laugh
Like a bird loves the sky--
Freely, and without judgement

IV
I've loved your touch
Like a drowning man loves the air--
Greedily, without thought

V
I've loved you
Like an astronomer loves the heavens--
With wonder, and respect
Fingers burnt, lessons learnt,
forgotten all too soon.
Memories, some lost to time,
underneath forgotten moons.

Long before the measure of time
the measure of everything.
Long before the breath of men,
and all the birds that sing.

Energy and nature,
evolving as they should.
Blossoming through sadness
seeking out whats good.

Seeking out the goodness,
the Godliness it knows.
long before the summers breeze,
the winters ****** snow.

Long before the reasons
we were never born to know.
The changing passing seasons,
that watch us as we slowly grow.
See within the broken glass, in hopes to catch a reflection. I place this mask upon my face, for the image of perfection.

This one hides in deeper shades, colors take on a different hue. The person that is really me, I sometimes crave you knew.

Rage is red across my face, it flashes only suddenly. If you knew what I harbored inside, our companionship would never be.

Regret and shame I tuck deep within, to you I can never show. It rips and claws at the corners of me, more then you could know.
