you may never have asked
to be my poem

but i never asked
to be a poet
there is a lot of guilt
associated with
writing love poems
for a man who
doesn't want your love...
but you don't know
how to stop...
because your heart beats
in iambic pentameter

Hurting

Hurting fixes broken hearts,
It numbs you til you fall apart
And wonder where the pain went.
But it only goes dormant.

You Broke Me

Have you ever felt so happy you could fly
Have you ever been so upset you could die

That’s what you did to me.
You broke me.

Right in two,
But I still love you.

Have you ever been so in love you could cry
Have you ever loved me so much you could try

That’s what you did to me.
Then you left me.

On my own.
All alone.
When you broke me.
Or maybe I broke myself
And you just didn’t bother to pick up the pieces
