The mind
Always wandering
Eyes always searching
The heart always wondering
Who to let in.

When you experienced bad things with people you once trusted you change,
Trust can be difficult sometimes .
Like the wind whispers everywhere
Caressing everything while passing
Such is the essence of this life
enlightening of heart and soul
to come to  peace of mind.
Everlasting.

Day ends
Night  falls
A dog barks
A baby cries
A mother with  tired feet
A father frustrated
ends didn’t meet.
Still  sitting together
Having a simple meal
Still praying together
Still thanking
For another day.

Life becomes a routine
That’s not a bad thing if you think about it. Finding comfort in the routine
Every day life

I remembered that you said you
Wrote me a letter and I never
Received it.

Much like the time you said you
Would never leave me and
Then left.

I’ve come to terms with the fact
That you have built a home
Inside of my mind
And don’t plan on
Moving out anytime soon

When will I evict you?
There was once a family of three miserly men
Miserably miserly they were, spending money was such pain
So when they had to travel for business to another state
For the three they bought only a half ticket.

The train arrived and they occupied their seats
Forgetting they ought to have at least three tickets
They sat comfortably cut jokes and laughed
Very happy that the cost was reduced two-halved.

Merrily chatting they didn’t notice the man in black coat
Checking the tickets and marking off on his note
They thought there won’t be ticket examiners on that line
With a half ticket they could get away without having to pay a fine.

The alarmed men planned fast they weren’t short of wit
Two of them went below and one remained on the seat
The checker came and when found below the seat two huddled men
Asked the one above ‘for three a half ticket, how you that explain?’

That man of clever think without a wink said ‘I can easily do,
You too know it sir, it comes to half when one is placed above two’!

(A POEM FOR PRADIP)

In these early hours of evening
when sun has dipped down, hiding
cold has set in, warmth cooled by wind blowing,
your words haunt me, left me pondering.

For a sunshine poem, you asked,
but how? when it is now dusk,
there is no sun,  only dark to show,
not even a moon aglow.

All i see are fiery dots of light, shimmering
in the garden, i am alone, wondering
I do not see them closely
yet, i feel they could be friendly.

They are luminous lanterns, seemingly beaming,
could these suffice to keep your flame burning?

In the widening dark, they bask
to perform their given task
carrying drops of hope with their sparkles,
scattered ***** of chances, radiated by lighted candles.
They are so tiny, collectively bright,
wandering, even on a moonless summer night...

I have not one sunshine poem for you,
instead, thousands of Fireflies, i offer you
to let their light shine generously on your  face
dry every bit of sadness, leaving not a trace.
to dry tears hidden
ease your shoulders laden.

I wish i could see your smile
hug you, even just for a while
wear your sombrero
'til day after tomorrow.

I pray my words have beamed enough,
to save your day, to see you through...
