silent is the mourning
when crying seems inadequate
for the hurt.

Yes, I was there
Because like many of you
I have been there
Charging into shot and shell
The stench of blood and **** permeates the air
Do you really think death is so quick and clean?
No,  no , hold your mate while he's crying for his mum
Pick up the mangled guts while you tell him it's OK
Yes. Cry for him today for its not an unmanly thing to cry
For when tomorrows battle joins
It might be my time to die
slosh of oars
ripples the night
of tremulous moons

the nightjar soars
on silver light
a sad tune croons!

tides up swell
lap the wood
in ceaseless kiss

moon grows pale
in deep brood
of broken wish

the misty haze
spells the core
spins a dream

mind in daze
forgets shore
drifts upstream!

On the edge of the Milky Way, way, way out in space
There's this planet called Earth; we've all heard of this place
A place where all the inhabitants are a complete disgrace
They allow millions to starve, while a few stuff their face
And no matter the size of their knowledge base
They can never understand one another and begin to efface
With their swords, knives, guns, bullets and bombs all apace
They will soon go at one another in a nuclear arms embrace
They have the ability to end themselves in one last Coup de Grace
....and with disparaging tones, we call them, the human race
".... and we call ourselves the human race." - John F. Kennedy

I Love your poetry.

Your few words can portray emotions,
that take forever to get out into the open.

Every time I see,
your name in my notifications
I feel giddy
knowing a true poet has seen my poems,
out of all the better ones on this website.

First time I saw you,
you had talked about Hello Poetry,
and I thought of how wonderful,
you made it sound.

Because it is.

Every word you write,
has a heavy meaning.
And every punctuation you added,
carries a strong emotion.

Your simple wineglass,
seems to define so much,
yet nothing I could ever understand.

I just want you to know,
that your poetry is unique,
and if you are ever in need
of a helping hand,
I’ll be happy to give you my left.

So, keep this poem in mind,
because it took me so long to think of.
I couldn't digest the right words,
but they were there,
in the open air.

Your poems leave me speechless,
I guess.
Since I can't seem to compliment you,
that easily.

But if I were to just use words,
in no order,
they would be:

Spontaneous. Brilliant. Amazing. Magnificent.

To describe you through
your infinite poetry.
this is for the dear blank challenge, and took me forever to write. Born is an amazing poet and you should really check him out! He's l'incroyable!
IF
If I have to cross over oceans to find you, my peace
Let me embrace the rain to be strong through all of these
And if I have to sail even at the middle of a storm
Let your love be my coat to keep me safe and warm...
Finding peace

What's the point of reaching for the stars,if your just gonna block the moon

What's the point of dreaming if your gonna wake up

What's the point of speaking, if nobody listens

What's the point of knowing that guy,if he's  just stupid crazy or both

What's the point of being in love, if we're just gonna hurt each other

What's the point of having a heart,if he's  just gonna rip it out

What's the point of preaching, if nobody learns

What's the point of being alive, if your dead inside
The ghostess was his hostess
in that wood apple tree
she flirted and she caressed
he was tickled merrily!

In the moonlight fought a mock fight
her nails she dug on him
he hugged her with all might
her bony frame quite slim!

He was bolder as he told her
where had you been all life
wooed her in whisper
would have made you my wife!

Her eyes then smoked in pain
trembled her voice
there wasn't a you among the men
I had little choice!

Two hollow face loved breathless
kisses floated in thin air
lone night owl stood witness
to the two souls laid bare!
