There lies a fracture in time

a void of encapsulated memories

in wind and dunes

beth fwoah dream
“where summer’s bronzes dull and sink”

the trees are like
wet coat hangers,
holding up the leaves,

my cat is frosty like
an october morn,
sleeping on the sill,

everything is dripping
like a wet pair of
jeans taken out of the wash,

the sky wears its greys
of cloud, dim and dramatic
it opens summer eyes.

Tea stained blotches
Slowly spread across
thick green leaves
as July is pulled into
August. Fat blackberries
Are scattered into hedgerows of
Cow parsley.
Brambles reach out their forked
Fingers and nettles swallow the pathways.
I am looking forward to autumn
When I am no longer in a busy emerald city
But instead in cool quiet
Trudging through golden bracken.
Looking forward to autumn

it is the kind of
sadness that lingers, the kind
that stays when you don't.

Distance
does not
make the
heart
grow fonder.
Instead
the love becomes
weary the mind
makes
mistakes
out of fear.

Distance makes
the heart
estranged
and the world
is enveloped
in a thick
black
fog.
While you
are nowhere
to be found
you said
you’d try but
you haven’t,
and neither
have I.

Forgetfulness
and ignorance
the heart is loud
its beat
pulsing forever
becomes quiet.
You cannot
hear my heart
from wherever
you are
so far away
I can’t hear
yours either

I cupped my hands
behind my ears
trying
but distance
makes the heart
grow weary
tired
gone

The Concrete Poet
Years pile up
like leaves

another winter
of
slumbering trees

The oranges
and
the rusts

oil me please
so that I
not yield
to dust

I sympathize
with the
trees and the wildlife,
left to survive
a Winter's
frost

they are the
strong,
the invincible
and on us,
that should never
be lost

I can only admire
God's strength
within them,
as I stand with
mouth agape

Nothing on this earth
has ever wowed me
more than ....

God's work
to date
