i said

what if i kissed you right now
kinda missed seeing you around
with each wrist pinned down
there's no where to fall but to the ground
and man is the descent soft
you infiltrate my thoughts
so used to saying stop
weird to rather not
strange to not turn away
unfamiliar but a trusting face
with every shadow i touch and trace
i'm more deluded than yesterday

i scream at the top of my lungs asking for your guidance
but still i am left unheard
you never reply
and i am left drowning in my own tears

Beneath your glimmering exterior
Is a heart made of the darkest coal
Behind your beguiling eyes and smile
Is your ulterior and conniving goal

The lofty throne of lies that you sit on
May cast a shadow long and deep
But your disciples aren’t blind to the atrocities
Yet they continue to cower at your feet

But until the day comes when
They shatter your crown
They ignite your castle
And they bring you down

You’ll sit atop your contrived legacy
And continue to bask in your own majesty.

I argue with you inside my head
Angered by words you've never said.

I write our scripts to my design
Then am vexed when you botch your lines.
Dedicated to the lady.

My ink is
Running out
But the words
Keep flowing
Paper too
Wrinkled
For words
A New pen
Is near
A napkin
Nearby
Should get
Busy
Before
My poem
Disappears

Like ink on parchment your lies flow into my ear
Speaking beautiful pretence, with such confidence
I wish I knew if it was true, yet I can't seem to find
Why you fill me with so much diffidence
A poem every day
