 Dec 2014 Peach
AllAtOnce
There's nothing like light glinting off of coffee in the morning that makes me think of your eyes
And then curse myself for doing so
Surpassing
The heights of all before
In my eyes
You're the perfect disguise
That and so much more
In need of a queen?
I can fulfill your dreams
Every nightmare that makes you scream,
I'll help make them paralyzed
And in my eyes, you'll see the stars
Depths and universes filled with sorrow
Yet, I could fly you to Mars
And protect you from every heat of tomorrow
The pain, hurt, guilt and regret
That you feel, I'll take it away
And no matter how bad it gets
I'll do it until the sun and moon's dying day
My tears are laced with sorrow
Making puddles that I'll fall in tomorrow
And I'll forget the love and joy
That I once borrowed
I've given it back
Without realizing that
The pain and hurt I use to fill my coffee
Just makes every sip all the more bitter
But with every drink I pour,
I lose another day of life
So I use my tears as creamer
And your words, jokes and humor
As the sugar
Yet nothing gets sweeter
And **I'll die all the more sooner
Sorry... I just gotta write it out...

My dear girl,
please confront it,
i am no longer a boy!
i have desires of your body,
it's your innocence, i could destroy...

I enjoy the faintest touch
of my lips on your brow in the morn'
            Your angel sleeping face deserves
to know how I creep out tiptoe
              on my way to work
remembering in all my fiber
          all energized
last night, and the night before,
and every moment since we met
nights and mornings
         and every
gentle kiss.

one leaf

one different
leaf
red when others were
green
hung on a lone branch  far below the glow

in shade and obscured
this red leaf survived
until autumn
when all the other leaves
turned to her

And turned red
asked
if they could climb down
and join her.

Silent in winds breeze their
answer came as they fell
free from branches
fluttered to the ground.

This different leaf clung
and felt so sorry so alone
felt the breeze
but never belonged
and wanting to

let go of her limb
wafted down
and joined those
in destiny
now, the same color,
brown.

I reflect every morn after one cup
of coffee and two cigarettes
play Sudoku
try to relieve me
logically this biological fact
smells when I try to

get up after playing
naked Twister until 3 am
and running out of Crisco at 4.

no beginning
we all forget
to send
a forward
or regret
not saying
I apologize
like lemons or
lemmings we follow
to the cliff bitter
better yet we fall off
rather than
say
I am sorry,
