Loveless
I often wonder if the stars control our fates,
Or whether we make our own paths.
The world is against us my love,
Perhaps hatred is all we deserve.
Our love fills even the gods with disgust,
Though we’re both still holding on.

They say what we have is a case of ‘the grass is greener’
Darling, how wrong they are,
All the grass surrounding you is dead.
We’re not destined to live in the light together.
It would only blind us.

In that forbidden moment,
When your soul brushed against mine.
It felt as if I had plunged into an abyss,
Surrounded by perpetual darkness.
For just a moment beloved,
You and I were all that ever had,
And ever will exist.

Our souls bound in a covenant,
Forever entwined.
I saw the universe in your eyes.
Nothing else mattered, in that moment,
I could have died in your arms.

Traveler
How far and wide
Your many arms
Surround thy followers
Safe from harm
Onto you burns
The candle white
Pure and holy
Protector of life
The grim shall prevail
And all shall sleep
In their sacrifices
Of vanity...
Mexican protector against witchcraft and assaults.
The old death witch is once again picking up a new momentum in followers.
I was made
to believe
in the making
of the thing
you were made
to see

Q:  what is a hand?

A:  my own blood squirting out of a fish

Angel

I met with an angel who had the wings of an airplane
smoked cigars and drank whiskey
told bad jokes and gave out losing tips for the races
all the same I loved that angel, so human
so happy in their skin, so unselfconscious
and I understood a little bout Jesus, who sought out the company of the lost, marginalised, and the sinners polite society condemned in their blindness, yes Jesus felt at home with the unpretentious.

I wear a tattered heart today
But God says,
“There’s no such thing as unanswered prayer.”
I was pushed to my limits
And He added,
“There’s no such things as shattered dreams.”

Despite my broken dreams,
*The Lord steadied my heart.
For all of those who failed, God sees you not as failure. When you're in Christ, failure isn't failure at all; but an opportunity to embrace the grace of God & a point of challenge. You are victorious! All things are possible with God!
