Rest. You did well
Today.
Smiled when you didn't have
To. Worked when you
Didn't want to.
Rest. You

Left nothing for the next day
That was truly
Critical.
You've earned

All the trust that tomorrow
Requests;
The hopes you have for it seen as
Solid matter.

Listen to the wind moving
The branches of the Tree of Time.
It sings of you.
It sings of how good you are
At Life.

Listen.
Listen and
Rest. Rest
Knowing you can do it.
You already are.

don't
  be honest
       for
          their
              sake,

      be
         honest
               for
                 yours.
For a friend.

for not only words
but also for ways to show you I care
since my actions and intentions
remain detrimentally disconnected

I have fallen into the rhythm of goodbyes.
The steady beat of feet against tile
the sound of slamming doors and
echoing walls.
See, the worst part
is the silence that follows.
The all-consuming ringing that coats your ears
and kisses down your spine.

Loving him was like hearing
every goodbye I've ever heard
all at once.

"I can't do this anymore."

I have fallen into the rhythm
of unrequited love.
my heart is hurting
I'm a thinker; master over my own mind.

Engaged in the intricate way words spindle together
through my ever racing mind.
The room is beautifully silent but in that created a scene so loud
it was unexpectedly ear shattering;
maddening it was.

Now I'm no longer in control of my thoughts
but instead a slave to the voice that no one else hears.

There was something
pure in your eyes
and something
sinister about
your smile.
And my god,
I loved it.
Enjoy.
