Autumn Rose
The blazing
flame of the
dark lantern
was shining
brightly
as it reflected
in the
Woodsman's
auburn eyes.
Lost souls
take no
pleasure in
being found.
Little pieces of
glowing embers
were swiftly
carried away
by the autumn
wind in the
melancholy air
of old memories.
Like a
starry breeze
of dying fire,
whispering into
the stalking
night,
singing its
mortal melody
to the
wayward pines.
And so he
slowly disappeared
in the moonlit fog,
more lost than
he could have
ever realised.
Deeper and deeper in
the unknown...
Bright pale eyes and
long fair hair

She was a born
adventurer with a
rebellious flare

Insomniac,
she came by the lake
every night

Shining like a
torchlight
against the moonless sky

She wondered how life
was like on the
other side

And curious by heart,
she decided to find out

Stepping into the cold
black water, the air
was dead still

In the eerie silence,
she boldly
started to swim

With graceful
strokes, she approached the
opposite shore

But halfway the freezing lake,
her body could suddenly
move no more

Wide-eyed and
panicking, her cries for help
echoed in the open

Sinking, flailing
limbs and screaming 'til her
lungs grew swollen

Drowned,
she never reached the other
end of the lake

But in the nearby
village, an identical girl
still lives today

Bright pale eyes and
long fair hair

Nightgown dripping wet
2015
Ancient
wooden floorboards,
dry and dusty,
creaked under your heavy
bulk of a man

Black leather boots
squeaked
as you entered the hallway,
lured by the darkness
and the strong
scent of another's desire

Hinges screeching,
screaming out a warning,
the door closed behind
your back

You never saw the danger,

only felt the dagger

It’s difficult to dance when our legs are dark with bruises.
We can’t remember love if we make love to our excuses.
Bathing bare and naked in our ignorance and pride,
The toxic water poisons us, and plagues us with divide.

The truth about our childhood is that it must decay.
January must expire to thaw the ice for May.
The soldiers have no more to eat; they beg to end the war.
They question if their covenant is one worth fighting for,

Yet still we drink the poison,
Yet still we dance away.
We desperately so wish to love,
But know I cannot stay.

Tell me how we built this home,
Lest that we forget,
Because after the fires, the floods, the pain,
You’re all that I have left.

You thought that you could break me
You thought that I would fall
You thought that I'd be lonely
but it's not that way at all

Yes, you broke my heart
It's in pieces I'll admit
but I'll put it back together
bit by tiny bit

It's true that I loved you
It's true that my heart aches
but you'll get nothing more from me
There's nothing left to take

I did every thing I could
to show you how I felt
You did nothing but to show me
the losing hand that I was dealt

Such twisted lies you told
No real reason why
I'm putting you behind me
Time to say goodbye

She glistens in shades of rose wine
Warmth melting inhibitions
Flesh begging to be devoured
A hint of its sweetness
beckons as it lingers on still air
Molten steel
Heat rises
A gentle touch
Electricity liquefies
There, in the light
transformed by a glance
that holds a promise of passion
Aquiescence in liquid candy
She is consumed
He is ravenous
yearning to be sated
Yet, feeding the very hunger
that drives him
straight through her soul

The imminence of WAR, is the Writing on the wall
Death Destruction Anguish Pain, will be upon us all

As in the days of Noah, so it is again
The warnings have been written, from John the Revelator's pen

But Alas Alas! No one is taking heed
Keep your heads stuck in the sand...your guts are going to bleed
