I witnessed a crimson star , hurtling southbound to Florida ,
it lit up the Eastern sky , quickly faded , a brief yet momentous
occasion to all fortunate spectators addressing the uncomplicated night ...
I answered with a tale of the Big Dipper watering the chariot horses of Orion , Sagittarius shot his arrow just for me at twilight , Venus gently covers sleepy Earth in her silken black shroud , crystal dreams quietly
settle over timid countryside , sleep for now precious dreamer , let sleep abound ...

Oh how everything
Was in my power
I never felt negative
About my presence
Songs got me through
Anything everything
Now it's not the same

I thought I was strong
That I could
Cope
With
All this ****

Life's            cruel          tests

I thought I was happy
Being on my own

But I realise

Maybe
I am
Fooling
Myself

Pushing up against the turning wheel, only to be ground down again. Trying to lift a burden that cannot be borne. Under the weight of the mill stone that has been placed on you. Struggle as you might, the oppressor keeps pushing you down. You grind away your life trying to climb up off of your knees only to be pushed back down. Under the weight of the mill stone that is keeping you weighted down.

we see the same stars
knowing somehow
the light enters
our corneas
at exactly
the same
time

yet we have such
varied ideas
about the

we read the same books
the same letters which
make up the magical
ideograms we call

yet our thoughts vary
as to meanings and
how they will
impact
us

but one thing we all
have in common

we ache to be understood
that our words adequately
describe our feelings
our hearts radiate

Thank you for taking me
out of myself
and teaching me to
capture my sadness
and be
"mindful"

ALL THE BEST TO YOU, POETFRIEND!

... of all your kind comments, reposts, ♡s!
Tomorrow will be a very busy day for me.
But I will be back to read on Sunday.
I'm sorry I haven't been reading. I'm in pain. I guess that makes one self obsessed.
I seem to be able to write. But I can't concentrate to read. I don't want to skim.
Then put a heart on what I haven't read.
This is something I'm sure every poet can appreciate.

Take care my poet friends.
I will see you soon!
