Fear is what keeps people alive,
Fear is the only reason they're alive

Fear of suicide,
Fear of your loved ones feeling sad,
Fear of pain,
Fear of being in endless oblivion.

Fear is what keeps me alive.
Fear is the only reason I'm alive.
fearful.

We might as well be.
We might as well exist together.

Escence
I lay hollow everyday
know people to greet
no games to play
I write
because it's my forte
At least that's what I know
because I'm ever so hollow
because I have know one to follow

twinkle, twinkle
    distant fire
someday life won't make me tired
    hearing silent pleas for help
cuts stacked on her arms like shelves
twinkle, twinkle
    starry night
     disillusioned slaves won't fight
we would rather try to be
  like the icons on TV

   ***** of hell
     sacrificing thought is swell.
An early draft; just some random inspiration.

You may think, at times, that the world is fatal
That all just dies, and drifts, and slowly fades away
That these lives we slave for now,
Mean nothing to the end.

I am here to tell you, little girl inside,
That though you grow outside-
You remain you.
That while others will thrive,
With masks to survive,

You alone, shall be you

I have seen the way you mark people,
They excite in your art,
Art of unique originality,
And art in love.

Do not keep seeking, instead, be sought
You spend your whole life searching for what's naught
These walls you channel are set bound in stone
You must find those who will tear down your heart,
Tear down your sorry heart,
To find some love.

Love, it may so happen,
Love, it works, I tell you.
Never stop saying, as you always be saying,
“Nothing, nothing but love.”

As I grow older
And look back in time
I have no regret for all time

I have loved and lost
And loved again
And again

As my life past by
And boy did it fly
But then again

That's Life

Now I had a vision
When a youth
Of being 20 and out of my youth

Now I look on that vision
When no longer a youth
Not past my prime and I hope not my youth

But the turn of an ankle the lift of skirt and I remember my youth
In a way some of Terry Collett's work brought this to mind. Thank you Terry.
