Our paths were never meant to cross.
I was just testing the waters when I caught you staring.
It started something grand and beautiful and exhilarating.
And that should have been the end of this backstory.

But we're just starting and we are still mere strangers
Me falling for you has always been a scary thought
Can you honestly love me?
When you hold my hand and touch my hair,
When you whisper secrets to my ears and make me feel special,
Are those moments real?

People always say that I have these walls around me,
That I am someone who's never gonna let somebody in.
But they never saw how higher and thicker your walls are.
You are so good at hiding what you feel that it made me think
That maybe what I'm feeling is a product of my imagination
A part of my subconscious waiting for someone
Who will try to understand all the layers of my insecurities
Someone who will paint my skin with his warm touches
Someone who will kiss my lips and tell me everything's okay.
Someone who will simply love the complicated me.

I'm giving this a chance
Even though the pessimist in me is screaming,
Telling me to run the opposite direction.
I'm giving you a chance
Because I want to give me a chance
To fall in love and be happy.

Please, do not hurt me.
I'm fine with unrequited love
But please, do not lie to me.
Do not call me at 3AM and tell me you can't sleep without hearing my voice.
Do not tell me you can't imagine your future without me.
Do not promise me these unless you're sure.
Because my heart is fragile and my bones are tired.

I've always been sad but you,
You remind me of the warm sunlight caressing my face.
The butterflies in my stomach awoke with your giddy laughter.
You endlessly surprise me with your actions.
Your smile is my happly place.
You are my happy place.

This.
This is the end of our backstory.
The rest, I hope, will be a beautiful history.
Inspired by today's KS episode and a YES! article I read the other day.
I do not find this path familiar,
It does not appear on the map.
I keep walking this path,
afraid to look back.

I need to be pointed in the right direction.
I'm not fit to walk alone.
I need to be put on a guided path
or forever I will roam.

As I continue walking,
in the middle of the fork in the road an elderly man stands alone.
His beard as white as snow, with a tannish skin tone.

I ask him if he could point me in the correct direction, as to which path will take me to a better future.

He looks up at me with watery eyes and says "I cannot help you, for I am lost too".
I don't know
Oh how I miss you.
Your sweet brown eyes
The smile you give me when I'm staring at you for to long.
The way you tell me about your day and how it all got better because you got to hear my voice.
I miss how you touch me and everything seems just fine.
Your dimple on the left side of your cheek when I tell you I love you.
The way you hold my hand and kiss me
Just the way I catch you looking at me from the corner of my eye.
God I miss you.

Pray

That I may taste of you

Worship at your slender blemishless feet

Feast upon the divine banquet that is your core

Serenade you with praise deserving of your graceful form

That I may traverse the land that is your body

With eyes, hands, lips, tongue...

That I may make your mind my home

That I may always, and forever

Remain in your pulchritudunous presence

Alas, I can not

For you have trapped me in this live cage

Kept me in the proverbial limbo

A bare whisper away

Yet, still screams and echoes apart

The pain weighing heavily on my strained vocal cords

Slowly crushing my fragile heart

But I bear my cross with dignity, the constant torture

And I sit in silence

Watching, waiting

Hoping
For those of us in limbo...
Happy Valentine's Day.

Eriko
a boy,
a man
some guy,
on a street corner
maybe with
iridescent eyes
or another
in library corners
walking past
a girl, red lipstick
gleaming shoes
or short chopped hair
and a pair of leather boots
all of us, an evolving constellation
with connected stars
yet no means
to every truly
touch and
sing
Oh romance, whatve you got against me
Oh love, have I hurt you in some way
Have I sinned
Oh lover have I left you before our time
So wickedly I lived
And now I bleed
With every new wound I lose more and more my strength and
My bones turn into dust when you're around
But romance what I done.
What have I done.
Amongst a thousand people
I feel one.
Alone, deserted, left out
I feel blank
And when I stay with you
Alone, deserted, treasured
Don't feel numb.
My feelings they exhaust me
My flame fades
I blame it on being tired
But stay vague.
10w
But am I enough
For you to write a poem?
'Nuff said.
