KEEP SMILING ALWAYS ...

Stand proud upon your pedestal
And watch us from above
Do you see your admiration
And the endless sea of love

You were such an inspiration
To the countless lives you graced
Fought hard, stood tall and sweetly smiled
No matter what  you faced!

That was what you left us all
"Keep smiling" you would say
And brother we will try for you
Each and every day.

It hurts so much to lose you
though
And as a million teardrops fall
It's hard to raise the smile you asked
Because it makes no sense at all

You had everything to live for
You were young and in your prime
How can someone so beautiful
Go so soon before their time?

to know that you don't suffer now
Is so comforting to know
But a million hearts are breaking
We didn't want to let you go.

But we will have our memories
Loved ones old and new
you touched our hearts so deeply
Just by being "you"

We'll each remember something
Of the times that we all shared
When we smiled & when we laughed
And when you loved and ALWAYS cared.

So as we say our last goodbye
Forgive our fallen tear
Rest now in peace our angel
Be free from pain or fear.

Take your angel wings and fly
But be close beside us still
We love you so with all our hearts
So much, ... We always will.

Rest in peace beautiful boy
Love you always ***
To the bravest young man we've ever known.
Fly free big man, no more pain *** RIP ***

Jigsaw shadows
crawl in missing pieces
as flat edged boarders
lie end to end
deceiving with hoped for words
on heart shaped box lids
directing the exodus
of those offended,
never to fit together
again
You are the piece I am missing

His feelings ricocheted
Off her world
Impaling his unaware heart
My only weakness is a woman
A woman is my strength
Without her I’m a half man
Longing to be full length!

A woman fills the half of me
Without her I just can’t do
Sans her I’m half empty
And know she needs me too!

Her only weakness is a man
A man is her strength
Without him she’s a half woman
Longing to be full length!

A man fills the half of her
Without me she just can’t do
Sans me she’s half empty
And knows I need her too!

Her voice would cleanse me, but
Her voice-mail popped every last
Bubble in the bath water.
Her phone rang and rang.
Wringing me out.
Leaving each ring
In the bathtub.

I thought you were still in the shower
but I found you in the sunlight that the patio keeps.
I missed the tightening of your skin as it dried.
Then it loosened you in its warmth just to
Show me the sweat beading. Growing wherever
Like seeds let go from the wind; held no longer
Than they should have been.

It was a careless orchard.
Rowed haphazardly.
The organics of now
Fruitful and ripe
But only for that moment.

This is but an ode in love's wake,
I write in sorrow as my hands shake,
My lament stays strong for this heart's sake,
As this agony I face, I can no more take.

The flames of love have burnt my wandering soul,
The drift of the sands of time have taken their toll,
Love has cracked my spirit as it plays its role,
In my despairing heart that is now a grand hall.

I watch silently as my miserable heart turns black,
As this hall that falls apart with each crack,
I turn numb as I am deprived of the sense I lack,
And falter as I suffocate in this morose love plaque.

Light it up
I need the the feeling of lips on lips
To patch the damage done
I need you to repair me with your touch
Break my walls one by one
