Words sliced
Diced and cubed
In a skewer
Some went into the stew
Chomp them away
Serve them chilled
Or slightly spiced
Many like theirs
Just on the rocks
Some like them sweet
Bitter there is no choice
To swallow and yet not wallow
Never once, forget twice
Words have a flavour of their own
How do you like yours
Grilled with the right spice
Maybe plain
Sans any dressing
Yeah, some like it minced
Each to their own
Words on the platter
Served just right
I like it raw uncut
Organic, fresh from the farm
Sometimes
Well done on both the sides
One can wish as one wants
Priceless the words
As ordered and served fine
Look at that sunset !
Looks like an artist
spilled all his paint
on the sky . Look at how the rays of light have turned the wheat to gold .
Not even a rainbow
could add to the beauty before us . A gloaming grandeur .
In the shadows of stone mountains
Down a fragile ancient road,
Past streams and dreams of glory
Lay a leader bathed in gold.
Haunted by the battlefields of his youth
The forgotten weight of halos old.
A poltergeist of progress
Found downed outside the zone.

Cast off by players unknown
Pretenders covet the Apex throne,
Where Aculites fight like demons
Exorcising respawn beacons
Necromancers in the Thunderdome.
While Tom seems indisposed,
Locked up and throwing rocks
Mocked by the gulag and the snow.
Though we really should have known
The esteemed leader was on his own,
His chute just would not open
Slowmotion to the sound of Chopin,
Commander falls just like a Stone.
There's no bin
For the wasted time.

It's the ocean.
It was and will always be the ocean under the sunset,
That my heart belongs to.
The tired twig broke.
A lone Leaf went into a free fall.
It softly landed on the ant hole.
A bustling empire descended into permanent darkness.
does the dawn fall in love with
the receding night?
does the sun long to merge with
the silvery beams of the moon?
does the blue sky ever attempt to kiss
the earth in a tight embrace?
do the mountains strive to touch
the stars of the firmament?

is it not the red tint of the morn
that colours the cheeks of the dusk?
is it not the smile of the moon
that lessens the wrath of the sun?
is not the sky sharing the earth’s pain
as she sheds tear drops in sweltering heat?
aren’t the twinkling stars covering the darkness
lending a radiant sparkle to the black granite?

love turns the world around,
enriching the donor and the receiver
it gives more than the soul can aspire
it lights up more than darkness can hide
it fills the void, makes us whole
a light house to the sailors at sea
the greatest gift, a treasure of measureless worth

so love as never before, love till you die!

I remember the darkness,
Feeling empty and cold.

As I watched the moon shine bright
With all her secrets untold.

I was trembling,
inside voices screaming
constant thoughts of you.

But the stars were my only company,

And the sky-
a midnight blue.
