i fell in love with the stars
because i never thought they'd let me down
until one night it was cloudy
and not a single sky diamond could be found

so i became quite fond of the sun
and basked in its warm and comforting glow
until one day, the sky kept crying
and the heartless sun refused to show

so i decided to fancy the moon
thinking the moon would always come through
but every day it faded away leaving the night
the way it left me; empty and velvet and dark blue

so as you see, i'm used to being disappointed and alone
i feel abandoned each time i stop and reminisce
and quite honestly, chances are one day you'd leave me too
so that's why, kind gentleman, i decline your kiss

The sound of swallows
Thrusting diving
Whistling
My first
Childhood home

House already then old
Even older barn smelled
Like livestock of
Distant times

Fell asleep between walls
Soaked in centuries
An infant

But the house and barn
Are gone -I remember-
And the swallows
With them

~

Zephyrs breach this cobble wall,
gusts of morning glory breezes
swirl enchanting echoes about my weary mind
I reach for the top, pulling myself to my feet
so that I may see that which is calling
in wind swept phrases of poetic vistas…finding me

“Hallucinating?”

Breathless, I lean on moss covered stone,
weakened by mystic dreams and sighed fragrance
For the beauty which engulfs my sight
of lavender reaches in ribbon’d flow,
brush strokes of cocoa eyes smiling
now grasp my body, wrapping me in passion’d bliss…touching me

“Hypnotically”

“What magic is this?” I call out from the shadows
in wheezing of broken harmony
“I am love," she whispers as my breath escapes
Clutching my chest in fevered emotions,
wide eyed dimensions course my now beaming face
as all of life has bloomed within my being…and I fall

“Hyperventilating”

Just been out in my garden for a cigarette
Stood there facing east
Two stately oaks stand over there
Sillouted against a rain filled lead grey sky
Behind me the westering sun sets
Throwing its last dying rays
To fall against those stately trees
Green they stand there
Ever changing minute by minute
Lime green to olive,  to almost black
So many differing shades of green
How can any human stand there
And not see the beauty in those trees?
They started life as such small insignificant things
More than eighty years ago
But look now upon the statuesque beauty standing there
Eighty years standing against all that nature threw
Those mighty ever changing royal oaks
I know,  anothet ****** write about nature

I put so much effort into random places,
so much effort into random faces
face it
im faceless
placeless
drifting
shifting
thoughts towards destiny
feeling empty,
wondering whats left in me...?

messages esoteric terrorize my rhetoric
pedestrians staring glaring gazin gotta get a second look

shook

layers shed, fall from those ancient snakes
left for dead
suffocated, stranded
damaged
god ******
this sunless planet is madness

immobilized

try to find sense in a broke world
what are hands without manipulation?
and in life? death is a stipulation
a fools gold is never within grasp
so
clasp delusions Grandiose
with a toast
to sham pain and champagne
emptied grails course through mans veins

oh to see what mirrors saw
would reflections appear at all?
peer into the endless ego
see nothing but self libido

we are all weary travelers,
existences' eternal passengers
remove masks, flasks, end the charade
let serpents slither, and sun bath
away from the shade

embrace the end of nights
push away the start of days
just keep in mind
which way
            the pendulum sways
