Planets align
Don't malign

Elliptical simplicity
With rhetorical duplicity

Minds engage
While hearts do rage

Beyond the sources
Of controllable forces

Span the continuum
In search of equilibrium.

The Lost are found
Yet questions abound
5 poems in 5 days Challenge, Nominated by Rene Velez
A moment in time when you stop and think
You try and tell yourself that all is fine
One foot in front of the other
Getting to where you should be.

But the moment reminds you
How far away those goals all are
You’re struggling up hill
Carrying this heavy load.

You look around you to see who is there
Your there for those who need you, but no one’s in sight
Your struck by loneliness wondering which way to go
You know you just can’t give up this fight.

The journey we take, may not be fair
It will trip us, delay us and take us on detours
Take the moment in time when you stop and think
To realise that your nearly there.
the first
innocent to the core, a
stolen love through
the words
of my brothers

the second
long after had only loved
for an exact amount,
none left to give
after a deadline was met

the third
a stupid drunken night
resulted in a quick
disgrace
of my decisions

the fourth
stuck needles where he
shouldn't have, a
heavy river spilling
on the rocks
and ghostly waters

the rest had no love to give
only advice to spare, a
game lost, a game
won,
all in the same vein
stupid little poem for stupid little tears
Mother Nature
that wise woman
threw a storm the other day.

It nearly took out Florida
with its raging rains and
tempestous winds.

She's been a bit tempermental of late,
what with the radiation pouring out of Japan,
the plastic clogging the Northern Gyre.

Coral reefs dying off are really
rocking her boat.  The rising carbon dioxide's making her itchy,
just look at how she's growing that poison ivy now.

Monarchs are starving.
Bats are dying off with the sniffles.
She's **** near had enough.

Makes me tremble in my boots,
just thinking what she is truly capable of
if she decides enough IS enough....

The room swallows my particles as I lie down to breathe
The lights turn on and my ghost disappears
Safe from harm on my island of feathered pillows
where i detach from my backpack of weighted fears

Drink me into the dust
remember, i MUST, i MUST

Grand chairs and lavish bed quilts
surround me as i disappear into sun beams
Weightless, i float around my ideal retreat
where i can fold my dreams into origami shapes

Find me in the dust
remember, I MUST, I MUST

Chills feel like electric screams
running back and forth through faulty synapses
The lights are on but the ghost reappears
I stand up shivering between the boxes and breeze

Swallowed into the dust
*forgotten by the world
