Sure the fatigue would come...
Infiltrating the sanctity of our skin,
gripping our muscles
and chafes us within.
Right down to the bone.

No doubt the fear of future days
would eat at us raw.
It would gnaw at our minds...
Debilitating thoughts that would *******
no one else but our own.

Of course the seeds we've planted,
mightn't see past the layer of soil
in which they're embedded.
Seeds hidden in the ground for future reaping...
They mightn't flourish to meet the harvest
and greet the hand which would
welcome them full grown.

Most likely the days before us
only show of dark clouds...
That constantly scare us.

But today...
Has time and space for us to exist.
Today has a crisp sweetness wafting through the air.
Firm, unwavering ground beneath our feet.
So let's claim today because today is ours to keep.

Today we share the returns...
Of the sweat and the tears that in the past
we've sown.

Their eyes
Will always
Look down
On you
Their hearts
Will never
Change

So warm
Your hearts
In solitude
A hearth
Of poetic
Flames...

Winter’s fingerprints
Dance as spirit crystals to
The tune of laughter.
What are these words?
What are words at all?
Am I expressing?
Am I conveying an ideal?
I don't think I'm using words right.
I think I'm writing wrong.

Anabel
when the moon rose high in the sky
like a white tiger ready to pounce
he said breathe
and when the sun peeked out behind grey clouds
like something hot and new and immortal
still he said, just breathe
and when the rain came and swept everything away
including the white pearls
picked from oysters falling in love
still he whispered,
just breathe,
the moon is not what you think
and the sun can bear more than you know
and the rain
will bring everything to you
when the river is ready to flow

Your soft voice is my cure
It expels out that fear
Your heart is so pure
It smothers that fire I can't bear.
and I'll pour all my sadness into you
should you like what I say and what I do
never let there be a pausing moment
as I had him in winter but he left me in spring
so now I wonder what fresh air should bring
every passing part of me gives way
and after everything here
I am still around
to welcome you in on a brighter day
