They never show
Their real emotion
While people watch
Their every motion

Everything they have
Is fake
If they'd notice
They would break

They're living in
A fake reality
They need to wake up
To actuality

We always talk
Behind their backs
If they knew
They would crack

They think we love them
They think they're pretty
But they really don't
Deserve our pity

Whether you fall in love with a poem or not
greatly depends on how you read it.

Happy is a good way to feel
Because happiness is so real.
If you could spend your life being happy,
That would really be snappy!
In Heaven I believe it's really that way,
And you'll always have a good heavenly day.

i want my poems to have teeth.
i want my words to cut,
to maim, to bleed.
with verses, i will raze
empires. with stanzas,
i will turn thrones to dust.
with nothing but a bit
of silver on my tongue,
i will take the life of god.

i’ll ply that same *****
like honey, taste the sweet
nothings dripping
between knocking knees.
quake and quiver for me,
let me slip, furtive
as nightshade
to sate your curiosity.

feel the weight of veracity
in these fingers patiently
transcribing forgotten melodies,
compressing ivory keys
to sing of all that was lost
and what was gained
from the process.
An ode to words given form.

Grab a feather
                                            Open your soul.

Grab some paper
                                         Make it your own.

And a small feather
                                             Shall be a brush,

And a small paper
                                        Your poems' canvas.

Hello.
I am the trending poem.
you see me and I make you feel alive
so you like me and re-post me
then you leave me alone to die.
Hello,
I am your forgotten lines.
you created me with a careful love
                                                          and decisive rhymes
and then to the bottom of your page I'm shoved.
Hello
I am forgotten, alone and unloved
a faded smile a broken dove
                                               I once was beautiful, touching.
now, I've been replaced, I'm nothing.
