If you see her will you tell her I said hello
And that things haven't changed that much
I'm still alone down here in Jacksonville
And yes I'm still in love

Will you tell her I cry most every night
Because things haven't been the same
Since the wind blew her into my life
And that same wind blew her out again

If you see her will you tell her how hard I tried
To move beyond what it was we had
Perhaps I would not have given my all
If I had known it wouldn't last

You can tell her if she tries to look me up
I went and changed my name
I'm no longer Mr. Happy Go Lucky
I'm now Down In The Dumps Again

You Know What...

If you see her tell her I said hello
And that everything is fine
That I've been living life so care free
She's not even crossed my mind

If that appears to make her saddened
It might just break my heart
Because my friend you and I both know the truth
I've not been the same since we've been apart

I ached for you last night,
and I yearned and I cried and I shaked for you last night.

I wanted nothing but to be near you,
to hear your heartbeat in your chest.

But I did not want to break you down,
or put this love to rest.

I dreamt of you lying beside me last night,
and I kissed you and I held you and I felt you last night.

I traced out the moon beams surrounding your spine,
and kissed every ligament, still hoping you're mine.

But before I could sleep, and before I could slumber,
I readied my mind and I phoned to your number.

I wanted you to come here to me,
and I wanted you to be near.

But with wanting and heartache I hung up that phone,
and I watched the blood moon appear.

I long for your hands
Warm and cold
I long for your touch
I long for you
To hold
Me
Forever

i  envy your pillow
it lets you
rest your head on it
while i can't

i envy your cup,
it kisses your lips
tasting yours,
while i just stare at it,

i envy your blanket
it covers your skin
it touches every bit of you
while i can't

i envy your clothes
it touches your skin
every corner of it
every flaw
while i'm sitting here

Maya Angelou
A free bird leaps on the back
Of the wind and floats downstream
Till the current ends and dips his wing
In the orange suns rays
And dares to claim the sky.

But a BIRD that stalks down his narrow cage
Can seldom see through his bars of rage
His wings are clipped and his feet are tied
So he opens his throat to sing.

The caged bird sings with a fearful trill
Of things unknown but longed for still
And his tune is heard on the distant hill for
The caged bird sings of freedom.

The free bird thinks of another breeze
And the trade winds soft through
The sighing trees
And the fat worms waiting on a dawn-bright
Lawn and he names the sky his own.

But a caged BIRD stands on the grave of dreams
His shadow shouts on a nightmare scream
His wings are clipped and his feet are tied
So he opens his throat to sing.

The caged bird sings with
A fearful trill of things unknown
But longed for still and his
Tune is heard on the distant hill
For the caged bird sings of freedom.

The
                               Snow
    Keeps
                    On
Falling,
                    And
          The
                              Wind
   Keeps
                          On
  Howling.

So I think I'll just stay inside.

you asked me what i was hiding
as i stood in your door way
naked
with my arms
wrapped around my ribs;

i smiled lightly and
dropped them to my sides

i know you thought

i was insecure
but i never told you
that i was just

trying
to feel my stomach
turning
or my heart racing,

warmth from my limbs

or a shortness of breath
from the tightening
of them-

any reassurance
that i hadn't
gone

completely

numb,

because that look in
your eyes
used to make

my palms
sweat
and my spine
straighten

but
lately
all i feel
is
this
eerie
exhaustion

Push/pull, give/take
Where there is desire
there are possibilities
Rigidity hinders bliss
Concession is not surrender
Surrender is not submission
Acquiescence is acceptable
While descrying harmony
