None of us are guaranteed

What little time we have

Far too many leave too soon

With thoughtful words left to be said

We'll never stop death in its process

But can surly slow the blow

If the friends that we have left

To them our love we show

A square that was a little twisted
Didn't want to lay on his side like everyone insisted
Instead he wanted to stand on his pointy end
Look and see just what become of him
Because he did not want to be like all those that had come before
He'll now be a diamond, forever more

My stained glass window
Changed the color of my outlook.
I broke a painted *** that was a picture of me.
Then tried to glue it back together.
Piece by piece.
But try as I might,
I could not fix it.
I could not repair myself.
Cracks remained with wide gaps.
A little triangular piece was put in a random spot.
It just didn't fit.
The *** is finished...
but now cracked...
imperfect.
I could not repair it.
I could not fix myself.
But then...
a candle was put inside.
And a beautiful miracle shone
before my eyes.
A lovely, gentle light glowed forth
between the cracks.
Just like the Light of God...
the treasure within...
shines out through my brokenness.
I am a cracked ***,
made even more beautiful,
by God's Light shining through my cracks.
My imperfections.
My brokenness.
I am a vessel...
broken...
cracked...
for His Glory.

ephemeral
I’m ashamed to say I’ve become a bit of a thief;
A pickpocket of sorts.

It started out small.
A few roses from our neighbors’ garden, every now and then.
I knew it was wrong to take something that wasn’t mine,
But I fell in love with the way your eyes lit up
when I held out those little bits of stolen life, stolen joy.

It soon escalated after that.
I saw the way you gazed lovingly up at the moon,
and I became determined to make it yours.
Unfortunately, no matter how hard I tried,
The moon remained unattainable.
(There is only one, after all.)
I figured I’d aim for the next best thing, so
I hope you like the stars I stole for you.
hi guys! I know I've been gone for a while, but I'm back, and I'm starting a new series, which I'm super excited about.
as always, feedback would be lovely.

The stars have descended on the ground tonight
They say they want to meet the source of their inspiration
Darling...they are talking about you

You were a surprise
You entered my life like a tidal wave
A ray of sun at midnight
A spotlight in a deep cave
I didn't see you coming
You took me by storm
Turning my life upside down
Totally against the norm
I put up my barriers
Then I built walls
But you broke them down
Consuming me, my all
Your tidal wave has receded
Your light, gone to stay
No golden rays of sun,
Even in mid day
The whole world seems heartbroken
Even the birds have lost thier song
And I'm left in tears
Not understanding what went wrong
You left my life quietly
Like the end of a hurricane
Leaving a trail behind you
Of destruction, tears, and pain

The dusk made up of darkness
The dawn contained of light
As you were the break of day
I was the shadow of night

The bad made up of blackness
The good contained of white
As I was everything wrong
You were everything right

gray rain
There's black and white and all the colours in between
Red, Blue, Orange, Green
but grey is the only one I've ever seen
