I despise the word 'loss",
it implies that something CAN be found,
but I know that I will
Never find you again.
So, next time you see me crying on the street,
don't tell me your sorry for my loss
because
I know your words like the back of my hand,
stolen from a card,
not given by the heart.

When we were little ,
i hid, you seeked.
You could  find me...
     without a peek.

Now you look,
but cannot find,
you grew up,
and turned blind.

Everlasting
Would you be THE one
My star, so bright, so far
Up high, above the sky,
Just shining through the dark
For me to see at night?

Would you be the one,
The guide I yearned to have
The one that lights the path
towards Jesus Christ?

Opening the book of morning to the first blue page , chapter
one tells of Warblers and Finches , misty hillsides and scenic vistas ..
Thumbing through blessings , every paragraph a loving , written testament to the wonders of today ...

There are times,
Life will seem to give more downs than ups
More losses than wins

You'll question yourself is life worth living?
Why do i go through these things?

Truth is pain is inevitable
But the good news is it never lasts
It was never meant to break our spirit
But to prove we have beating hearts

I hope you see the beauty in the pain
As better things are about to come

Everything happens for a reason
And with time you'll tell why

You're like the sun,

You light up my life,
But you also burn me.

Pride os a strong  word
So many people use it
They have pride in their clithes
Their appearance
Their hair
Their homes.
However for me
Pride comes in some unusual forms.
Pride comes from text on a page,
And ugly ink splotch on a stark white dress
Pride comes from poetry
The elegant ways it dances from the poets mind as it plays its way across their lips or to their finger tips
Pride comes from new words
Never seen before combinations
New ideas and new arrangements
And endless sea with no boundaries but your own.

Pride comes from within me.
Pride in my poetry.

When the faithful
Became unfaithful
I lost faith

When the religious
Sinned irreligiously
I lost God

When lovers
Turned passion into hatred
I lost love

When death
Arrived early at the door
I lost life

What little I had left of myself
I gave away to you
But you lost that part of me too.

Rare but Relevant
When I was little I liked to catch  firefly's
I kept them in a glass jar just for the night
And then I'd let them go
Looking back at it now I think I made them suffer
Capturing them
Locking them away
Making them feel suffocated
I hurt them
It saddens me because I hurt too
So much that the pain becomes numb
And then it's like I don't hurt anymore
The difference is my pain is still there
I'm still locked away
The firefly's are the lucky ones
*They got back their freedom

I've got to make a decision, make some moves.
Live and learn.
Take it a day at a time.
No matter if you lose.
