We all live
In a world
Of crazy

So who's to justify
A definition of normality?
No one is "normal", so when you call someone weird or odd think about what one might say about you.

Please don't waste my time.
You feel me?

Don't make me feel special,
and tell me things
that you know I wanna hear,
but you don't really mean it.
You feel me?

Don't get me trip.
I mean head over heels crazy,
to the point where I'll do anything for you
if you know that you aint'  feeling the same.
You feel me?

Don't tell me that you love me.
Don't call me 'baby' or 'bae'
if I aint the only one.
You feel me?

Don't tell me that you want 'us'
If you don't understand that the concept of 'us' is 1+1
just you and I and nobody else.
You feel me?

But most importantly,
think of your loved ones.
Would you like them to be treated the way you treat me?

Just be honest.
Don't say you can commit if you know you can't.
Don't break someone because of your issues.
You feel me?
Moral: Treat people the way you want to be treated.

No sleeping pill can
Make me sleep

Your lovely touch
Can

No one can
Wake me up

Your sweet voice
Can

No dream
Makes  me happy

Unless you are in

No one can
Lift me high

Your thoughts
Can
You only can

Weary of my days,
Weary of my unspoken ways,
The tricks and games
the mind will play.

Feeling weary of the rains,
The trials and tribulations of being a slave,
Weary of the looks when I speak,
Weary of the battles,
Weary of the crooks,
Weary of the screams,
Weary of those being so mean.

Fault or blame
it doesn't matter,
Weary of the meaningless chatter,
Small talk on a foggy day.

Weary of this life sometimes
in every way.

The darkness will come soon enough,
Weary of these darkest thoughts.

Lay me down
in a cozy comforter,
Morphine to make me numb,
the weariness
just lasts a moment,
Savor it
then it's gone
and
done.
Poetry is fiction and truth, a glimpse amidst the human condition.

Why talk
When they don't listen?
Why be
When you don't feel?
Why yield
Unto submission?
Why earn
When you can steal?
Why fight
Against the darkness?
Why love
When love will die?
The past is dust and vanity.
The future is a lie.

I'm sure this is real
Our broken hearts will heel in time
You leave me confused, breathless,
Wanting more,
More of you .

We can only be who we are, and we are only just as strong as we choose to be. We can grow in strength, wisdom and love, but we need first to be willing to do so.

If I were a coloring book,
*          would you color in the lines?

If I were water,
would you let me be still?

If I were wooden,
would you light me on fire?

If I were an egg,
would you crack me, boil me?

If I were a string,
would you tangle me, knot me?

If I were lava,
          would you try to swim?

I'm writing love letters to the dead
not because you're dead but
because I'm never going to see you again
and that's as good as dead
I guess
I suppose
I sort of
kind of
hope.
