Salmabanu Hatim
I will love you forever or all my life would be an understatement.
Who knows what is around the corner,
An event in our life can make me hate you,
So I love you and try my best to keep loving  you.

The stars in my eyes twinkle,
Only for you,
The light of the moon glows on my face,
Only for you,
The beats of my heart sigh,
Only for you,
The smile on my face gasps in awe,
Only for you,
The touch on my skin craves,
Only for you,
Only for you my love,
Please believe it's true,
I live only for you.

I
Love
You
Because
I
Have
Never
Seen you.
I
Have just
Felt you
In my heart
I love loving you.
I used to eye her more than books.

She had good looks
and for me
in the library
she killed the dullness of patience
the stifled air of silence
with her lips' hidden smile
that was quite a diversion
from pouring over yellowed pages
all the while.

In the garden I sought my chance
but she resisted any advance
telling me it's not her
I needed to be in my mind
but a job I must find
for couldn't be raised a family
merely loving in the library.

I think she gave me love
when I needed a job
but by the time I earned the bread
she was already married.

Once I thought of her as Miss Giving
but now as I look back
I have serious misgiving.
My third in the Miss series, part true and part fiction, writing this brought some cheers to one of the hardest times of life been passing through.

No, I do not  know the next time I’ll be out,
Especially, not with you
Things never said, so much doubt
Don’t ask me.
Such superficial encounters are no longer of interest
Lay it to rest
I am not your “go to” when things  go west
Z
No,I do not miss you
You took for granted how I placed you on a pedestal back in the day
Just to see your insecurities bleed through, you pushed me away
And now you want to pull me in to Your loneliness
Don’t ask me
K
No, I am not free,
Just because you drove from Chicago to entertain yourself here
I’m sure there are plenty of other girls for you to endear
Don’t ask me
writing from a place of growth and self-love
