A cross of wood

Tis the carpenters son on a cross of wood
To slay him the soldiers in hood
tis day in calvary stood
blood of lamb shed for good

Tis the  King born in a manger
Yet to none a stranger
time he cried for water
yet to get bitter vinegar

Tis the son of Almighty in heaven
Times in the cross he cried seven
For Our  dues he made even
A Prayer for his foes to be forgiven

Tis the son of God crowned with thorn
For our sins his flesh torn
For tis the pupose he was born
Darkness to end in a joyous morn
When I asked him how old was he
Giving a mischievous wink
Said won’t tell you straightly
But in a riddle to think!

If you add up the digits of that year
Multiply it by three
You would be almost there
But not there exactly!

Three more to it you’ve to add
And that’s my age no doubt
You would make me really glad
If can figure that out!

The two digits that make my age
Have a difference of one
You’ve enough clues to the maze
To work out my age with fun!

The digits added is short of ten
But from one too far
Would you now take the pain
To make my age clear?

To humanity ever a part
Till eternity never apart
A mother a wife a sister
An aunt a cousin a friend
A niece and a daughter
Women in life a part
Happy women's day

Meenu Syriac
She stood in the middle of the courtyard
Her arms outstretched, embracing life,
What little she knew of it.
In the rain, she let her bonds fall to the ground,
This sense of freedom, if only for a moment,
She wanted it to be her own.
That brief time, between fearing and dreaming,
She let herself loose.
As the rain washed the blood and the mud,
Her soul needed the cleansing, she thought.
For the first time in years, she chose not to look for scars,
She forgot the pain.
In this big house, she was a prisoner.
Prisoner of rites and beliefs,
Of men and patriarchy.
And only when the rains came to visit,
Did she forget the cruelty and the evil.
Only then, did she believe of balance and equilibrium,
Only then, did she wish for rights and freedom.
In her dreams she saw a much better world,
Outside these four walls.
And in those dreams,
She wasn't a prisoner of fate or creed,
She was a woman of no fears.
In the light of all that is happening in India...

slew
Platter platter, raindrops sink
as I breathe along.
Like time do clouds melt,
revealing the dark of the dawn.

Grey in the blue as dreams fly,
the clock haunts the night.
Memories, like a two legged throne,
feed some devils in disguise.

Cold, as the sleep ripes,
questions finally meet destiny.
The throne now sees no might,
light remains to be my darkest mystery.

Where doth I find thee
A love in Tis heart to be

Searched near and far
Even in sky a star

In dark a fireflies glow
A gentle breeze did blow

Search not far and wide
Look deep in thy heart love doth hide

I made a heart out of Play-Doh
Handed it to my son
Said I LOVE YOU
He gazed at it for a while
Then squeezed, poked, pinched, patted and rolled it
There was no sign of what it's original form was
But that's my heart
No matter how you treat it
It still loves you, beats for you and lives for you
Love you baby

A life lived among thorn
A Rose on valentines day born
Unconditional love she did give
Though days few she did live

Though her smiles be few
Her smile a morning dew
Her role in Tis life played
Yet her love never strayed

For to love Tis world mark a day
Still her love unmatched all the way
To her love oh never to repay
A Rose born on valentines day
A tribute to my long departed mom who was born on February 14th
All I am and what is because of her love

Why only me?
Question in thoughts be
lingering pain in heart deep
Suffering humanity doth weep
Changing world never a constant
Pain and joy hearts  content
yet trouble none for two same
to whome doth we blame
god in his might in heaven
or fate and luck odd or even
yet why only me
why only to me
cause it has to be
can suffered by me
Just a though when we go through pain

slew
Thoughts, ideas, words, actions.
People, enemies, friends, demons.
Dear life,
You've taught me a lot.
But the only thing
I'm gonna tell my children about you is,
' you will never stop teaching'.

A screen on the wall
A picture on buildings tall
To the heart doth call
Till our feet stall

A beauty with a smile behold
A story of a product unfold
A lie in cloaked by truth untold
Till by our greed sold

Played for the human charm
Leading the heart to warm
Unknown to desire in heart born
Useless after the wrapper torn

A crying child in the street
An embarrassed parents defeat
A guilt wrapped treat
Tempting addictive defeat

Eden had a tempting tree
Our stores give it free
Oh why doth not our feet flee

Find me a calm
In a place warm
Away from harm

Walked across storm

Silent place still
A gentle breeze to fill
High above a hill

A pain doth ****

Peace In the heart
Life a gentle start
Past to be forgot

Oh goodness did stop

None to hate
Not by fate
Calmness be the state

Still waters not too late
