South-by-Southwest
Thus it begins
a flickering candle by the pane
Moist drops on the same
Clouds ******* dressed in white
scurry on by

Your pale face on the pillow
as asleep you are
As candlelight races up and down
the peaceful lips you impart

Low rumbles tell me not far
The flash tells me to prepare
And a sudden gust moves the trees
like Swan Lake in green

You stir not nor respond
You continue to slumber on

The clouds have enmeshed
in wind , rain and light
Thunder barks  and growls
Trees bow to their might

Still you drift on in another world
I am trapped by storm
WhIle you fly by free
in peace that's unadorn

The Dedpoet
I read in a poem,
Sky black,
             Scorched Earth.
But the night is a jigsaw:
I sit on my porch and constellate
The fires, the fathers of worlds
While I think of the words
To perceive what I will never touch.

My spirit ascending
To touch a thousand
Light years of light,
They have never heard a word,
So I write the fire,
Like a son to father,
The poem becomes a legacy
Of flames thirsting for words,
I drink in the light
And give to them words,
They will never know why,
The poem will reach them
As an ember of misunderstanding.

The immortal word
Is a light reflected .
I will write to the stars,
And when the poem reaches,
I will have gone from this place,
I write because I am a man,
Mortal and dying,
My words will remain.

The stars constellate men.

I put on socks knitted by a
Grandmother long gone
And open my windows to winter.

Fine snow like mist through a microscope
Enters and dies at the tempered hands of
Home.

I reach outside to stroke the crystal

Stream in the air,
Looking forward to sun, and the rain.
Always also the rain.

Who've tasted freedom
will have no appetite for
less; silence be ******.
Especially apropos right about now.

Its the squeeze, the wall builders
who would have you defined, boxed
wrapped in a pink bow, more often,
handcuffs or chains
when you refuse to conform.

Loveless
Your skin is my sky
That contains all the stars
Your arms are a magnet
That don't let me go far

Your hair are the dark
That are my night
Your embrace is my sigh
That holds me so tight

Your lips are my water
That is so pure
Your kiss is my medicine
That have my wounds cure

Your mouth have my words
That become my rhyme
Your body is my space
That makes me forget time

Your fingers are my flowers
That are laid in your hand's park
Your neck is my canvas
That contains my bite's mark

Your eyes are my moons
That shine so bright
Your smile is my sun
That gives everything light

Good memories and others
Alike, move the waters
Of my innermost.
Tides of time cannot wash away
Our footprints.
I burn calories by making peace
With the beauty of even pain.
Looking back so hard my
Eyes are sweating.

Two steps out of bed
and already made untold decisions
gone back on a few you can no longer remember
and you have made it somehow to the kitchen
where the beginning of feeling you in first gear begins to happen
and already you have become some of your decisions
with the past around your neck, a tee-shirt faded with the wearing.
