I dream
of possibilities
      and not the
             probability.
                Call me crazy but
            I believe wishes
    come true with the
         click of my fingers
             and the flicker
               of my tongue.

For you....

Assume, just for a moment,
That yesterday wasn't really yesterday
You were in a vegetative state: you saw the light
just to be awoken, from your worst nightmare
The sky wasn’t blue, anymore it look gray:

The man in the white house was missing, off the radar
Leaving the people with nothing more than all his hopes
Then you remember, somewhere where you read
That the poet also resigns himself to his mood.
Perhaps, that why some verses should always end with an Amen,

I remembered sitting in my little chair in preschool
Waiting for the role called, j
just to hear her called my name correctly
But, my teacher never did, waverly, wabney,
Assume, just for a moment in time, I got up
And yelled it not warily, or Dabney it Demerara *** holes:
I always got a sick feeling, when they called my bestie name
And she wasn’t there, I always assumes the worse..

I was always an emotional state of sensing another‘s emotions.
At an early age I was that child who spoke with colors: I held on so tight, to my crayons box and silly putty that I made an image of my fist:
As an adult we hold on to grudges and bitterness
I too am guilty of that: when would it end.

My hardship is
the wrong path
of my life
and your love is
the right path
in my life.

My tears are
the first raindrops
on my lips
and your smile is
the morning shining
in my eyes.

My sadness is
the silent killer
of my dreams
and your support is
the best help
to remake them.

My misgivings are
the downside
of my friendship
and your kindness is
the bright side
of our relationship.

When I was still young and fresh
A million years ago
I walked on edges
Always on the edge of something
Something wild

Bright lights and long nights
Lots of laughter and music
Always music
Singing with the band
Dodging the flying glass
When fights broke out
Howling to the moon
Oh, wild indeed were we

All shadows now, alas
Visions from an addled brain
Pubs, clubs and smoky dumps
Leave no turn unstoned was the cry
More fun than fundamental
And fundamentally flawed, it was
A couple of hours sleep 'fore the day job
With eye-lids stuck together
And walking into walls
But still I wouldn't have swapped it
For all the strait laced straight faced
Wealth in the world

Blessings
fall on us
like cherry blossoms
in spring.

Gentle
and yet
full of the eternal,
all embracing
forces
of
Life.

We sat together.
We drank to our youth
and feasted on the present.
What once wasn't,
rapidly grew to form
a future keen.

We sat together.
We counted each one.
Silently wishing permanence
into a band.
What once brought tomorrow,
now only fades into
the mournings of yesterdays.

We sit together...
But our hearts are wedged far apart.
What once flourished...
Now only ***** weakly in stale winds,
conscious but unalive.

Come warm your hands around me tonight
Let go of the cold restraint that dangle your heart
I have dreamt of this day,
I have long for this hour
Come warm yours hands,
Rebuild your smile, and rebuild the trust

Stand upright at the council meeting my Zula warrior, my king
Unleash the passion within, stop struggling with your feelings
instead, come and fumble with these long, longs chocolate strings

Come warm your hands on my body
And forget the flittering open fire of hatred within her eyes,
It's cold night on the tropical island,
however, it's lavender essential oil on my linens
there's chocolate ******* to be thread.
tasty pasties and edible ******,
it’s warm in my chambers,
its love in my heart,
there is action,
there is passion,
come take a deep look into my eyes
before you address the unsettling crowd
Your Queen would always be by your side.

Stand upright at the council meeting my Zulu warrior, my king
you were meant to rule .................

Poetry should be like boxing,
Short, swift, and powerful.
To the point and presented so that you never see it coming.
A hook, a jab, a firm right cross.
Hard hitting and unforgiving,
Never what you are expecting.
Watch it on your cable boxes,
Cheer and scream till you're obnoxious,
Because poetry should be like boxing.
HOLY COW GUYS!!! Thanks for all of the love and support you guys and gals have shown for this piece. Thank you!!!!! Jab, jab, hook!

On snowy night I would smile upon the Gods
I asked them if there’s a heaven for the rich man
And what is in store for the poor man
who shivered in the open air, from the cold.

Would the rich man's golden casket make a different?
Would his fortune and fame entitled them
To be seated at the council meetings?

He texted me and said,
Time will tell… time will tell,
There is only one river, one sea,
There is only one gate, and the only exit is down**,
