one sparrow for joy
beauty; for rescue.
Indomitable truth;
loves foundation.

Told him and warned him,
if he continued to hit me
Told him and warned him,
just what I would do
Swore on his life,
he was willing to bet me
That was one bet,
he would willingly lose

Told him and warned him,
but he didn't believe me
Told him and warned him,
he had no clue
Of the gun I kept hid,
on my side of the mattress
Guess he never figured,
that I'd follow through

Told him and warned him,
still never saw it coming
Told him and warned him,
of this raging storm
Apparently,
he didn't believe me
Of this promise kept with no regrets
wasn't like he wasn't warned

I drew stick figures
things were simple

in a pencil world
mistakes were erased
you could start over

but an inchmeal awareness nagged
- the sky isn’t gray, it’s a liquid blue

but crayons were complicated
you couldn’t erase things
mistakes were irrevocable.

and there were 148 colors in the big box
keeping them in rainbow order was work.

growing up is hard

Natural flowing
an uncovering
of the most basic
fabric

simplicity in understanding
this wisdom
of infinite dimension

uncovered the ancient
mystery
something forced into
forgetfulness

loved one,
awaken into all that is
find your nature
of heavenly
connection

forget,
dismiss
this enemy
of harshness
and concretization

vibrate,
resonant destruction
of this lying
disguise

rediscover your status,
higher than the angels

Step in tune
with the sacred music
awaken in feeling
and see your
reflection
amidst the clouds

I have this vision
of you in my mind

But through your words
I found the human
lurking inside
And
I can tell by your responses
there’s not much going on

Are you listening?
Or
Just trying to get by?

Once in a blue moon
I meet plenty like you
only for it to become
all too human
way too soon

Tidal grief
Wore granite
To grain

Vapour plume
Sprays as Spirit
Does

Soaring-

Ether and never
So close together

Angels may climb
A ladder to
Greatness-

For others

Self soaks wings
With oil
And sinks
Back
Through soil-

Heaven/Hell
All spoil
my blue eyes
when deeply angered
(too often)

your blue eyes
when I’m dangerously close
to angering you
(too often)

my thin lips
when insulted beyond
my humor

your thin lips
when anyone is insulted

we are so different
and
yet, so similar

I am flesh
you are spirit
ensouled in flesh

my adamantine
is selfish
yours,
un

my path now
to follow
to learn the lesson
of adamantine being,
selflessly

All I want was a shelter to feel comfortable with.
A warmth that you felt safe.
Trust for mutual understanding.
And the pleasure you fully pledge to.

Seems like loving someone at this age makes us feel unsafe and unsecured, and mostly – at times, temporary.
It's been long.....

If  I could paint your sunrise
in the colours that you choose
trust me , I would
except I know
you haven’t paid quite enough
attention
to blue, yet.
