She sits on the bow and dangles her feet,
a rigid cloaked figure looms on the stern.
She runs her hands across the skeletal vessel,
thick mist twists and slivers past her cheek.
A coin-filled cage hangs off the Ferryman's arm
as he pulls an ore through the ominous glow.
A rusty lantern rocks and steadily creeks,
bright green flames lick the Ferryman's robe.
Into the void, into the churning ink
he gently rows across the river of woe
where no one hears her scream.

God is Love—I dare say. But what a mischievous devil Love is!
~Samuel Butler~ (1612–1680)

What can it be this act so grand
that one can taste it through dark skies
and even when a baby dies
love beats inside a mother's cries

What is this love of Heroes
that when the world has gone insane
it rights the wrongs inside your brain
and fills your soul like rain

What is this thing that we all love
that gives us breath and life
is it a tool that ends all strife
or acts of God under a knife

What can it be this word so deep
that seeps you to the bone
its LOVE alone
that  saves, then brings you home.

A Poet
When you lost your hair; you got angry.
When you lost time; you rushed.
When your strength left; you shut down.
           When I pushed; you pulled.
              When I talked; you yelled.
When I asked; you said " you don't understand"
I was a child,
       young, dumb, but honest.
           I loved you,
                I love you,
                   even if it breaks me.
                       I will love you.

I am nobody,
I am nothing,
I hate me,
this is the truth.
I am the enemy,
my own worst enemy,
I am a victim;
I am a fool.
I am who I am,
a useless man,
I am weak,
I am fearful.
I am rejected,
I have accepted
that I am pathetic,
I am a tool.
Life is pointless,
so very pointless,
until the day I finally meet you.
Then I am able,
so very able
to open my heart and start anew.
I am humble,
I am willing,
I am ready,
to start rebuilding.
I am caring,
I am loving,
I am happy
to say 'I do'.
I am sharing,
my heart mending,
I love me because I love you.
Time passes,
we are fighting,
you get upset and say 'we're through'.
I am checking,
I am questioning,
I am worried,
I can take no more.
You lied to me,
you used me,
I am banging on the bedroom door.
You broke me,
you hurt me,
I break it down and enter with force.
You are screaming,
you are running,
I am about to settle the score.
I am pulling,
I am yanking
on the chainsaw starter cord.
You are crying,
you are begging,
then the engine begins to roar.
I look down and remind you
I am an artist to the very core.
I am sculpting,
I am painting
I am writing,
a metaphor.

Monotone
A few words.
nothing much.

A few phrases,
really, irrelevant.

But, the moment you leave them out,
my whole world starts quaking.

I'm sobbing in the corner,
and you realize nothing.

"I love you," you so rarely say.
And everytime, I can't help but to think, "do you?"

Liars and thieves
full of selfish greed
found the need
to butcher and feed
on every inch of my integrity.
So I repay the fee
with eloquent misery
and conjure poetry
calibrated for the annihilation
of my enemy.
Yet in the end
the truth be told,
the greatest enemy
is me.

Limited by the limitless
Shouldn’t be limiting at all
Limited by limitations
Can be limiting at times
Upgrading the limitations
Can downsize a good chance
A limitation lost
To the limitless possibilities
Limitless one can be
“stretch your capabilities to the limit, they might surprise you”

A man dancing in a country with
No theatre ; another man looking
At his moves , limbs throwing up and down
In the air , the way his fingers cut through
The wind , his hair dancing in it’s own country;
Thought he : Awfully beautiful.
Never said which part is what.

My edges are fraying
My colors are running
My shadows are fading
My dreams are fleeting
Yet, despite all I have lost
I shall still wear my sins
As tattoos carved into
Both flesh and brittle bone
Yes, I shall still wear these sins
Because they are mine
And mine alone

Nought
You were the fire,
A beautiful, glowing light,
And I was the oxygen.

You said,
You could not function without me,
But all that meant was,
You were using me,
Consuming me,
To glow forever brighter.

i wasn't always this way
i want you to know that
take it in
imagine me happy
imagine me full of life
I'm sorry that you didn't see that
I'm sorry that all you had was the destruction that i was
she was not always this way
I wish you knew her then

When, where, why and how did we lose our focus?
Reframing our focus should be our goal
Are we consistently mistaken?
Gravitas at every step.
Happiness and nostalgia left the room.
Technology and Social Media should not carry all the blame
Something got lost in the translation
Are the masses that ignorant?
What appears to be surreal is real for some?
It is what it is, is getting old.
Power, money and fifteen minutes of fame
So many to blame
Those that need help are cast like aspirations
How about we pause for thought?
Simply find joy in your life
Have we made that too hard to accomplish?
