A B Faniki
At forty-four years old you’re as graceful as a palm tree;
Grapes, with their lushness, have nothing on your lush body;
A thousand faces light up at the sight of your smile;
Roses for smell, apples for taste, and your touch
Brings warmth. The cosmic rays are dim and lifeless
But the colors in your eyes are bright and alive.
Your neck is like Trajan’s victory column, long,
Elegant and beautiful with the carvings around it
Mona Lisa is pleasing to the eyes, yet mine long
For the viral grace of your ***** and mature curves;
Diamonds with all their glory are not as tempting as you,
with your gray, enchanting hair and laughter lines.
My love is round and plump at four and forty
Years old, with ******* that refuse to sag with age.
This is a sonnet i wrote for all the beautiful women ageing gracefully.
You are gone,
yet everywhere
that I touch,
breathe,
see, with my sensitive eyes
and heart.

You are gone,
Yet we never stop looking.
We know you're out there.
Each morning we call the
hospitals,
morgues
the jails.

You are gone.
Day after day
we hear nothing.
We wonder,
we hope,
we pray that you
are alive.
That no one has hurt you too badly through the night.
That you've not hurt yourself too much to come back from.

You are gone.
Yet the shadow of you is here.
It is everywhere.
Your shadow floats down from the
moon light,
and at night
covers such deep sadness
we know then that we miss you beyond the stars.

The You
that was You..
Losing an adult child to drugs is devastating beyond words. It hurts so bad.

Memorial Day observed on a Saturday
Y’all bring y’all’s folding chairs to the memorial
A wall of names next to the pumping station
Donations accepted (but not audited)

An’ Lord we just wanna thank you for these men
Who were willing to sacrifice their all
On the beaches of Normandy and stuff
And bless our brave, God-fearing president

I’ll wear my made-in-China U.S. tie
There’ll be fire-trucks. That’ll be something, I guess

And hey man thank you for your service I guess you seen some action huh my grandpa was in World War II so I like know all about it and you weren’t in a real war that’s what my uncle said and he oughta know ‘cause he don’t like to talk about it you know like them real veterans got this thousand yard state like I’ve got this *** Nambu I found at a garage sale like you’d really like it you need to come out some time and we’ll like bust a few caps and like stuff Trump’s sure gonna show them A-rabs, like, you know MAGA like in this movie I seen one time
Our Glorious Leader is sending 1,500 more kids (not his) to the Middle East.  Congress will do nothing about his violation of Article I, Section 8 of the Constitution.  The keyboard commandos will cheer.

Fly
Break the norms and raise high,
Who told you, that you cannot fly.

I look in the mirror and see
Wrinkles impressed upon me
Some from good and some for bad
I've earned each one, I'm not sad

Each wrinkle tells a story
Some glad some gory
So many ups and downs
Caused the smiles and frowns

I gaze the mirror and ask
Is this really me I take to task?
How did time fly by so fast?
My life is set in wrinkles cast

Upon my face, I wear my life
My sons and dearest wife
Some happened in the fire
Some took form because it was dire

I prefer the ones that came from smiles
A raised brow to see for miles
A ripple around my face pointed up
I wouldn’t remove a wrinkle, it's been my cup

Religion.
Belief.
Faith.
Have you ever wondered what it would be like without them?
They create a divide.
They control people.
They scare people.
They create monsters
People are so blinded by what they've been taught,
That they lose all sense of what's wrong or right.
They believe that what they're doing is right.
Religion is a way for people to justify their actions,
All in the name of God.
We say to people
"Don't take God's name in vain."
But that's what people are doing.
Using God to justify you taking someone's life
Is not showing respect.
In fact, I think God would be quite disappointed.
Religion is the worst thing that ever happened to humanity.
We are human when it greets us,
But when it's finished with us,
We are no longer people.
We are machines.
Religion isn't an intelligent way for God
To 'communicate' with us.
Religion is just an intelligent lie.
I don't mean to offend anyone or anyone's religion. This is just what I think religion has done to the world.
I am so sorry if I have offended you in any way. I do not mean to. I have absolutely nothing against people who are religious....except maybe the ones who **** other people because of religion....but those are just technicalities.....
:) Don't come after me...

This is quite a sore subject for a lot of people, yet one that is quite popular.

robotic idiots.
that is what humans are.

I don't believe in religion, but I do believe in God.
But I also kind of don't believe in God because I believe in Science.

Life is hard.

One thing to remember in this life
Is that you always need to have the
Best of intentions for you because
You're all you've got when it comes
Down to it, so take care of yourself
Until the end, it's not always easy,
It's sometimes hard to remember
Difficult to do but you only
Get one you
