She can walk
          between
             night and day
               never letting either
                  get in her way.
She learned this trick
                     many moons ago
                                by
                     going deep within
           and never letting it show.
Her soul is innocent
her heart is pure
she’s gone through more
than most could endure.
            She’s an angel of light
                 an angel of dark
                 you never know
              what you will spark.
                      You want to hurt her?
                         Please, go ahead and try
                           she’ll be the one to show you
                                  just how well she can
                                                              f

                                                                ­  y.
                                  Her soul innocent
                    her heart pure
      but never think for one minute
that she’s not secure.
                                Say what you will
                          please, do what you must
                       but your jealousy and hatred
                             won’t waver her trust!

Listen to
        your  own  soul,  
               too many
   people listen to the noise
             of the world
                   instead
              of themselves.

               Deep inside,
    you know what you want,
                 let no one
         decide that for you.

                      There
               comes a time
                      when
            you have to choose
                    between
            turning the page
                        and
           closing the book.

                       Don't
           be afraid of losing
                     people.
              Be  afraid of
       losing yourself  trying  
                 to  please
        everyone around  
                       you.
            It always seems
                 impossible
             until  it's  done.

If I am sinking
to where the beams of light
linger pale and thin,
I can't pull her with me -
like a boulder tied to her waist.
She needs to swim freely,
a dancer underwater,
and come up for air
where the sun kisses the glassy shell.

I need her to know -
not to know, but to see -
that I'm on my way up
to kiss the sun, too.
