on this boat I am safe as long as I can see shore
but that is not what I have built this for
I sailed out for adventure and a chance to explore
this place is too mundane I want something more
to navigate by the stars like in the times of yore
and find rubies and gold treasures galore
but first I must get there so I reach for my oar
and row into the unknown until I am sore
I look out to the east and the clouds I just abhor
the waves grow higher and the wind starts to roar
the clouds begin to light up and the rain starts to pour
a storm such as this one I have never seen before
and all this premonition I can no longer ignore
but I am not turning back I'll risk the ocean floor

rain

there is a growing storm
brewing on the inside
every day it rages away
it's getting harder to hide

this storm takes place
in all of my thoughts
brings with it confusion
sinister schemes and plots

how can i support myself
with all this heavy rain
building up on the inside
and messing with my brain

when it all gets too much for me
all this gloom and doubt
i can tip my head forward
and some rain starts to leak out

Lets shuffle around the truth of tomorrow
and dance until next year
invite everybody to our joy
while we hide all our sorrows
Lets laugh at it all again and again
and jump into the pool, and,
Swim away to somewhere where there is no tomorrow

Hordes of sisters sing in tune
with the horde of brothers-
so much so, they have all become
'New Creatures'
'New Creatures'  From The New Testament
There was a time that I lived in a place not too far
didn't feel so sure in my own skin
Tangled movements and mangled fur
my voice less of a purr and more just the wind

It's not that I'm bad
so much as don't know what's good
hard not to have envy
for that little red hood

He prowled through the forest
he growled there ever near
He knew not what love was
he lived only in fear

No he knew not what love was
so quick to attack
Anything to fill the hole left
by the affection he lacked

All the warmth of a grandma
he thought he might gain
by swallowing her up
unknowing his place in her pain

All the kindness of a child
he wished for so much
certain to have once
he made her his lunch

With everyone gone
He walked on in defeat
Wearing a red hood into shadows
With no love left to eat
Little red riding hood
Standing in the deep dark woods
Out comes a piercing howl
Not from a hooting owl

Whistling through the shadows
Like a hovering ghost
Launches out of the trees
THUD, the wolf drops to his knees

Red riding stares with an evil grin
A cape full of blood stained sin
Removes the cold steel from his heart
Smears the blood like a work of art

Twirls and dances of victory
And skips off into the night
A girl of pure insanity
Twisted soul for the forest she frights
here i am..
walkin the line,
that's blowin in the wind.
suantering down the
pathways of my mind,
not knowing where to
begin.
cause i've seen fire and
i've set fire to then rain
had sunshine on my shoulders
been addicted to  the pain
run for the roses
on the glorious road
sat on a dewdrop
carried a ain't too heavy load.
danced in the rain
turned the tables
read the fables.
been another brick,
in the big brick wall.
conversed with
the mildy insane,
went to the chappel.
drank bucksfizz and
straight champagne.
been to paradise.
been to me.
waited at the copa,
wanted to be bornfree.
sat on the dock
and watched the
bad moon rise.
walked 500miles
saw it rain in spain.
knocked on the green door
of the lobstershack.
took the stairway to
heaven,
by the dash board lights.
rode a avalanche back.
built this city,
had a drink at the pub
with no beer.
talked to the solitary man,
about the days of the old
school yard.
laughed a lot.
stood down on the corner,
thinking of  fernando
and red red wine.
sent my message via a bottle,
to be heard on  the grapevine.
got my self all dizzy,
dancin with myself,
at the the fairground.
but didn't cry out loud
found my true colours,
tarnished and dusty,
in of all places, xanadu.
waiting now with bright
eyes, for my baby to arrive,
he took the morning train
me i am keeping busy
watching the world drift
by on granma's featherbed
all the while the nips are getting bigger. send in the
clowns to run amok
downtown and i will sit on top of the world lookin at bothsides now.
see me trying for
jumpin jack flash
gas-satisfaction.
whilst losing my religion,
after six months in a leaky
boat and four seasons in one day.

all i've really got to go
with is:
obla dee obla da
life goes on
blah......

life goes on.
thanks to r for the inspiration
had a lot fun with this
also a big nod to all the artists whose lyrics are running round my synapses
That was the night that
Radiohead blared through
my radio speakers
and we made out like
it was going out of style
and the stars shined so bright
as we held each other
on the hood of my car
and to this day
I wonder why
because everything was so great
and i loved you 'til the very end.

Milk from the moon
Mats the hair of those
Caught in twilight downpours,

And the sea sings
Tunes rusty with drowned
Ships and voices alike,

And dust cannot be seen
Drifting about if light cannot
Creep through blinds drawn too tight.
