They are young,
But they've forgotten,
We grow old,
We are the forgotten.
All rivers run to
the sea, but we play
on their banks
like children,
threading daisies
through our fingers,
grass staining our nails
killing time with knitted
knees, we sit
toes dipped into
the water, cooling
the prickled heat
of our skin

I love you so much this heart threatens to burst from my chest
My love for you mere words could not express

I could speak of how you are the sun to my moon the rhythm to my rhyme
Without you, nothing in my life would shine

The whole universe couldn't hold all our love
It's an attraction, a pull only a prevailed few have even dreamed of

We must have loved each other through many other lives
Without each other we won't survive

To feel a love so powerfully divine
We must have feel in love, lifetime after lifetime

I am a woman,
confirmed by intricate womanly organs.
I am a woman,
Whose heart has been stolen.

I am a woman,
Who looks upon her husband’s soul.
I am a woman,
Trying to comprehend contentment’s goal.

I am a woman,
Running from society’s judging eyes.
I am a woman,
That sometimes cuddle with lies.

I am a woman,
Looking underneath broken shards to find faith.
I am a woman,
That understands the wisdom of what Jesus paid.

I am a woman,
That believed I was damaged to the highest degree.
I am a woman,
Whose flaws shaped me into plain, exquisite Ree!

You* saw a flower proudly thriving
sitting so beautifully on its shrub
and You picked it
because You lusted for it
so You took it

kept it in a vase
enjoyed the waxy texture of its petals
admired its vibrant colors
savored the floral scent

but as soon as it wilted
You threw it away
like it meant nothing to You

and replaced it with something new
because that's how You treat flowers

*right?
