The bar of soap
smooth and curved as old driftwood
it is familiar to me.
Precious to me.
All of its shape and all of its use
is my own.
And with each use
it lessens and grows
in my heart.
When it is gone
I will open a drawer
and a new bar will sit
where it sits
and eventually I will forget
I ever loved it
and the whole thing will begin again.

The lines that were penned for you have melted away. The heart still remains hard..
Theirs tears are wiped by your words

Your prayer, the prey to their sadness

Hope is the response to your call

These radio waves push them to greener shores

Yet, I pray for you

That the thousandth, millionth time
Still has that first time glow
I had a chat with Uncle Eric who works at a prayer hotline. He prayed for my exam and he gave me his best wishes and advice. Then, when he was done, I asked him about his day. He just said how he asks God everyday for the strength to help people deal with their problems. I bet I must be the hundred person he has spoken to today but, I wonder, how he keeps up his vibrance.

color me
color you
a truly new human hue
like a bright star
crystal clear, drink
from its waking waters
grieve, keen
but re-believe
in our incorruptible
stellifying power
beginning with
a galaxy of hands
—interconnected hands—
that touch with the emitting
rays of compassion

Once in a dream
I inhaled the night sky
Becoming one
With its hue

I replaced every star
With a sigh

All except for the ones
That reminded me of you

I then kept
Just enough of the sun
To torture it till Jun

Planting six seeds
For my lover

And grew them under
The pink moon

Raised by Gods

That can’t sing

Her love became

The prayers

That they would read

And

Bestowed with the blessings

Her smile would seed

Awakened my mind

Beyond gold and green

Where

I found my self bound

To the one

Who found me

Purpose first then pay check
Read and learn daily
Learning stops when you leave this khaki coil
Make up your own mind and be willing to change it for the good
Stop narcissists and stay clear of them if at all possible
You have not been there and done it all
Life is not a bucket list to check off
Empathy not sympathy
Your life is not on hold live it to the utmost if that is what you want
Accept, expect and then bring it
The Universe is waiting
Money is what matters most and sad to say if the heart and soul came first just Imagine
Think first and understand the truth, one truth
We would be the United States not the divided States

These halls seem somewhat hollow
A certain sense of sorrow
Now graces ancient stone.
Replacing familiar faces
With defaced family paintings
And cold ancestral bones.
Thrones thrown upon a pyre.
Fate becomes the folly
Tomorrow the unknown,
The brows of time are furrowed
Past spent, lost, or borrowed
Flowers forever bloom alone.
Rats, the last lords of ruin
Rule cruel shadows from the walls.
Twilight sighs at daylight's rise
All seems dark till darkness falls.
