Onoma
As you slowly
arrest oceans
apart, land masses
fall under persuasion.
The water stills...
skyless, starless.
What's been claimed
can no longer bear
reflection.

More stars in the sky
Than all the grains of sand
On all of the beaches
In all the world
Hourglasses are not a way of telling time
But you tip toe through the cosmos of my mind
You use the stars as stairs
You step with sweet feet
And sultry toes

The sand in your shoes
The sand in your hair
I am the sand
You make me a castle
I love the way you dig your toes into me
Your barefooted passion I feel so deeply
I love everything about you
Your feet walking through me
Your beautiful toes
Inspired by a comment Sydney Rivers left on my poem 'shoes'.

Seemed like a challenging write, I can never refuse a challenge

each time that

my jaw clicks,
just a little bit.
raw, red, renegade
everlast lips,
embraced by my face with

punishing hits.

so i always lean left,
but you can view through me
so there's no defense left
i know it's a battle
to win at all cost.

Love!
Love like it's the last day
you are allowed to breathe.
Dream!
Dream like madmen
lunatics running in the streets
dream like children
wanting to touch the sky
with their paper wings.
Feel the air entering your skin
run, jump, scream,
watch the sunsets
talk to the moon
feel the rain
cry if you must,
laugh
travel to unknown places,
don't listen to the ones who tell you
that you're not supposed to dream,
touch horizons
enjoy the stars
and the sleepless nights.
look around to things tomorrow you might not have.
dance,
dance like crazy people
the way trees dance with the wind
dance
but don't forget to hear the music.
Life is a song
hear its melody
before the silence breaks in.

It's a tremendous crime some women sleep in their beds alone at night
Taking pills to feel better about themselves
****, what happened?
You are magnificent, just a little lost
Show me your hurt and i will break the frost
Even when your pride is used and tossed
To the ground
I'll take you out of the lost and found
You're a fox that should of never been taken to a pound
At the end of the week, you're going to be the girl you always wanted to be
Maybe not a week, but as long as it takes
I'm game for the challenge
I Swear to you.
It won't be long that these women will be sleeping in their beds alone at night
When a male friend helps them like he should
Improving their confidence and humanity
They are out of shape but not for long
Not for long
Probably my favorite non-romantic and ****** poem. I love how this theme came together.

Flight

If you were granted the gift of temporary flight...

     Would you ascend...
Just so you could feast your eyes
          on the horizon,
beyond the confines of weather-worn tiles
          set upon unsuspecting rooftops.

     Would you take soar...
Just so you could briefly leave the ground
          below.
And as the land beneath you diminishes,
all that's you tethered to your earth
almost instantly would turn into nothing
          but specks of insignificance.

     Would you fly free...
Just so your heart could entertain the possibility
of being ensnared by the breathtaking
          view of the sun,
as it rests its pompous girth upon its bed of
          clouds;
Like a bratty king sprawled over lavish sheets.

Would you burst through the boundary...
          That separates heaven and earth.
Just so you could be bewitched by the full blown
          moon,
be enthralled by the siren calls of the stars,
and be a part of the spectacle that is the
          universe...

If you were granted the gift of momentary flight...

     Would you still ascend?
Knowing full well that soon gravity would claim
you with less than no pity nor remorse.
And all that you had complacently forsaken...
Will greet you with the harshest of punishments.

                    *I would.
