I am the next wind
which crosses your neck.
The raindrop on your cheek.
When you wake up
tomorrow I will be the
crease on your face, the
tangle of your blanket.

Know this then, I will
never leave you.  The
scent of me lines your
breath.

So now I lay me down
to sleep. I pray my soul is
yours to keep

Alt ending

So now I lay me down
to sleep.  I know your soul
is mine to keep.

Amen

Bound by the bond
Shackled it remains

Mortal the bond
Shackles too

To deny this life
The love it receives
Deserves

Bound by the bends
Invariably invisible
Written and sealed

Mortal, this life
Immortal love

Magically woven
This life a spell
Life is temporary, yet we live
and
get to live those moments

When I see you smile
I see the glory of God in your eyes
You are his pride and love

When I see you smile
I see a pure heart full of joy
And you become the joy of mine

When I see you smile
I see the blooming flower and gentle moonlight
So I can sleep without tears

When I see you smile

All these puppets wear bright smiles
While I let my mouth form a frown
They stare in wonder at the sky
As I feel my gaze drifting down
I’m told to stand and dance with them
But I am content on the ground
Sinking deep into the cobalt sea
I’d rather breathe it in, and drown
It’s much more comforting to sit alone and cry, than give in to society’s expectations and lies.

Words I dearly treasure
I'll cause no pain whatsoever
I am but a poor writer
I scribble now and forever
